favouritism, bias, and prejudice on each gender will cease to exist.

When this happens, both genders are allowed to explore their interests

without any disruptions. This allows a healthy environment for youths to
grow in and create a society where equality among gender is
normalised.

4. No. I believe that boys and girls should receive the same kind of
education. If boys and girls receive a different kind of education, I am
sure that one of the genders will be treated less than the other and 3 marks
experience discrimination in society. Plus, it is important to realise that

Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow.

1. The author’s tone is convincing. The tone helps the intended audience
to understand the purpose of the passage by constantly reminding why
vaccination and vaccination among children is good. Thus, the intended
3 marks
audience will understand that the author is trying to highlight the
importance of vaccination among the younger generation.

2. The author’s bias is bias towards vaccinating children. In my opinion,

the outcome of it to the intended audience is the intended audience will
have a positive outlook on vaccinating children. Not only that, but the 3 marks
intended audience will also vaccinate their children.

3. It is important than ever to vaccinate children and provide vaccine-

CONFIDENTIAL ED/MAY 2022/TSL015

4. The percentage of Covid-19 positive cases among children aged 2 to

11 years old, two weeks after the vaccination doses were given would
have been low. This is because the children would have had time to
3 marks
develop an immunity against the virus due to the vaccination. Thus, the
children will not be infected by Covid-19 or spread Covid-19 to others
and will continue to stay healthy.

5.
In my opinion, one of the reasons of their refusals are because they do
not believe in science. This stems from religious factors. Most older
generations disregard science in favour of religious beliefs. For
example, a Muslim parent may not vaccinate their children because
they believe that the vaccine contains ingredients or substances that
are not allowed in Islam. Furthermore, another factor is reading false 6 marks
news about vaccines. With the vast world of the internet, many fake
news about the vaccine can be posted online. For instance, a fake
news can blatantly lie that the vaccine can cause immediate death upon
use. This causes parents to have doubts regarding the safety of their
