ZOMBIE ESCAPE ROOM

SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
Welcome to the Zombie Escape Room! This resource is meant to be used as
a team building activity. Below are detailed instructions for preparing the
materials and setting up your classroom:

1. Start by printing print the answer booklets for each group (double-sided).
You may choose to either use one booklet per group or give each
student a booklet.

2. Set up the six stations in your classroom. If you have a lot of students, you
might want to include multiple copies of the activities at each station so
no one has to wait. Below is what should be included at each station.
You might also want to laminate some things before using, so it can be
used again in the future.

Station 1 Zombie Word Maze: Station 4: Zombie Pictographs

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS
Now that you have all the stations set up and the answer
booklets printed and folded for your students, you are ready to start
the escape room! Follow the process below to have students start:

1. Put students into groups and let them watch the Zombie Escape
Room introduction video (2nd slide in Powerpoint). Then, give
teach group the answer booklet and the handout that explains the
zombie story.

2. Tell them they do not have to do the stations in order, but they can
only complete the sixth station (encrypted instructions) after they
have completed the first five. They should circulate the room and
figure out what to do at each station to get the ingredients the
need to make the antidote and save their teacher.

3. Once students feel that they have all five


ingredients and the final encryption solved,
they can yell out, “We found the cure!”

4. An answer key is provided for you to easily


check the booklets.

5. Have all the groups finish the escape room


for 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc, place.
