Witch Way

You are checking out the local newspaper when an ad catches your eye:

Witch Way: your one stop shop for all things witchy! Need direction? Get a reading or peruse
our selection of books. Need supplies? We've got you covered! Need advice? Talk to Crystal or Ash,
who are always willing to offer their perspective. Stop by our store and see what we can do for you
today!

Curious, you take note of the address and decide to check it out. When you get to the right
place, you find yourself in a quiet, residential neighborhood, in front of a large, two-story house. The
only indication that you are in the right place is a sign above the mailbox. The name “Witch Way” is
carved in an elegant script, and there is an arrow pointing to the house.

You walk up the stairs, and find another sign on the screen door that says, “Welcome! Come on
in, and stay for a Spell.” Through the screen you can smell the intriguing scents of different herbs and
incense. You pull the door open, and a delicate chiming sounds. Looking up, there is a small wind
chime hanging above the door, each metal piece shaped like a fairy.

As you walk through the door, your eyes take in the large entry room, it's walls lined with
shelves stocked full of crystals and statues, wands and cauldrons, chalices and blades. There are tables
set about the room, covered in beautiful dyed fabrics, with carved boxes, ornately decorated journals,
and embroidered bags of all sizes.

There is a young man sitting at a large desk, in one corner of the room. He has sandy, brown
hair and warm eyes, and he smiles at you. From a doorway behind him, a woman who's age is hard to
place walks into the room. Her hair is white and flows in soft waves to her waist. A tiny, black cat
pops her head out from the woman's front pocket and mews at you. At her side walks the largest cat
you have ever seen, looking more like a wild creature than a domesticated one. She has white fur with
black rosettes, and her eyes seem to be sizing you up. She seems content with what she finds, and
walks over to a large pillow in the window seat and curls up, her gaze still following you as you walk
further into the store.

The woman gestures broadly with one arm, towards the rest of the room, “Welcome to Witch
Way. I'm Crystal, that is Ash, and this is my shop. Be welcome, and let us know if we can help you
with anything.”

***

Meet Crystal, the owner of Witch Way. Crystal has naturally white hair, long and slightly wavy, though
she often plays with temporary dyes, so her hair may match her mood! Crystal has been a witch for as
long as she can remember, but opened Witch Way after many years of setting up a small booth at
festivals. Her store is located in the lower floor of her house, and she tends to her customers as if they
are family.

Meet Snowdrop, Crystal's feline guardian. Snowdrop is a white Savannah, with black rosettes, and she
stands almost two feet tall! She has a raspy voice, higher pitch than you would expect. Snowdrop is
very active and playful, and greets all the customers that come into the store. She is an excellent judge
of character, and Crystal knows to listen when Snowdrop expresses displeasure about a person or when
she is extra attentive. Snowdrop guards the shop as well, and can be quite fearsome when she needs to
be.

Meet Shadow, Crystal's familiar. Shadow is a tiny thing, looking for all the world like a kitten that is
only a few weeks old. And yet, she has been with Crystal for years. She goes with Crystal everywhere,
either riding in a pocket or climbing up and perching on her shoulder.

Meet Ash, Witch Way's full time employee. Ash is a slender young man, outwardly shy and reserved.
He has sandy brown hair, and warm brown eyes. He is a scholar at heart, and loves researching new
topics. When you get him talking about his studies, he really opens up. Ash lives in one of Crystal's
spare bedrooms upstairs, and helps manage the store.

Crystal has a voice operated computer system, who she calls Rei.
