Part One : Reading Comprehension

Instruction: Read the passage carefully and answer questions 1-6

according to the information which is given below.

Computer is a modern machine which stores, retrieves and processes

information. To do these activities, the parts of a computer work together. A
desktop computer has a computer case, monitor, keyboard and mouse.

A computer case is a metal and plastic box that contains the main part of
computer. These include the mother board, which is a computer's main circuit
board. A Central Processing Unit (CPU) is also found inside the computer case.
It is sometimes called the brain of the computer. Its job is to carry out
commands. The power supply is also inside the computer case. The user can
turn the computer on and off by pressing a button on the front of the computer
case.

Monitor is the part of a computer that usually communicates with the user. It
is like a television because it has a screen. Almost all information from the
computer that a user needs to see is communicated through the monitor. It
displays image and text on the screen. Most monitors have control buttons
that allow you to change your display settings. For example, you can make the
screen brighter and darker.

The other part of a computer is the keyboard. It allows the user to

communicate with the computer. It has keys that send signals the computer
when pressed. The computer recognizes these signals and carries out
necessary processes and commands.
