Surveyor VFT dome systems - these are the latest
models from Vicon’s long history of industry-leading dome
products. The VFT dome provides the flexibility needed for
today’s analogue and network based system requirements
with features such as:
On-board transmission modules - provide the key to
compatibility with the ViconNet digital video management
software. Interface modules are also available to support
fibre optic or UTP twisted pair complementing the standard
coax transmission method.
Competitive Protocols - DIP switch selectable protocol to
eliminate the need for external translators. Compatibility to
Pelco, Sensormatic, Kalatel, Ultrak, Philips Bosch and Cohu
control systems.
Image Freeze - will save hard drive space on a DVR by
freezing the image between preset recalls eliminating the
high motion changes that require large storage capacit

The SVFT is available with a choice of camera/lens module including
a 23x or 35x day/night unit. The 35x unit offers image stabilisation
to correct for shaking images caused by wind and vibration.

Surveyor VFT™ Lower Domes are available in 3 finishes for indoor use -
standard grey tint, chrome or gold finish for blending with differing decors.
Surveyor VFT™ Pressurised dome system. These
units have all the features of the Surveyor VFT™ but
come with a special housing which can be pressurised
with dry nitrogen gas and then regulated with a relief
valve. In addition the interior is environmentally
controlled using
a thermostatically controlled heater/fan assembly.
Rated at IP67 the housing provides maximum
protection against the elements that would normally
cause rapid eterioration of electronic and video
components.
Surveyor VFT™ Impact-Resistant dome system.
These units have all the features of the Surveyor
VFT™ but come with an aluminium upper housing that
provides exceptional protection against vandalism but
retains the aesthetic appearance of the dome. The
lower dome is made of polycarbonate and the housing
is equipped with a steel trim ring and tamperproof
hardware. The dome uses standard Surveyor brackets
for mounting.
Both of the above versions of the Surveyor VFT dome
are available with optional alternative on-board
transmission modules
SVFT Dome control is achieved in standalone
mode by means of one of the V1410X-DVC,
V1411X-DVC, V1411J-DVC or the traditional-style
V1300X-DVC keypad, all with built-in joystick.The
keypads are used to programme dome and camera
settings, select presets and tours as well as
enabling pan, tilt and lens control.
The V1411A video switching system is designed
to be used with the V1410X-DVC, V1411J/X-DVC
or V1300X-DVC keypad. Available in either 8 x 2 or
16 x 4 format, the V1411A provides a complete
system to control up to 16 domes to 4 monitor
outputs. The V1422 matrix control system is a
complete digital control and matrix switching
system for medium size systems. It comes
complete with its own integral keypad and joystick
and will control up to 32 domes to 8 monitors.
A variety of.
Dome Mounting Options are available for the Surveyor dome providing
installation flexibility. The standard SVFT-UWM wall mount, the new SVFT-WM
short wall mount and SVFT-UCM ceiling mount are
complimented by a number of swan-neck, pole, parapet and roof mount brackets.
The SVFT-IC-KT is available to
allow extra support when mounting the dome in-ceiling
Surveyor VFT Fixed Camera Domes are available to
compliment the Surveyor dome system. These units have
identical housings to the SVFT variable speed domes and
include a quality 480 TVL high-resolution colour board
camera and a varifocal lens. The fixed domes can also
accept the alternative On-board transmission modules
that provide the key to compatibility with the
ViconNet digital video management software. Interface
modules are available to support fibre optic or UTP
twisted pair complementing the standard coax
transmission method.
The VC-600 and VC-600W are a new range of mini
domes offering high resolution and wide dynamic range
cameras in a compact housing. They can be wall, ceiling
or in-ceiling mounted. The outdoor W range is impact
resistant and comes with a polycarbonate lower dome.

The VUDC-9P Dome is a surface mounting, low cost
dome with board camera and 4.2mm fixed focus lens.
It comes complete with a 12VDC power supply.

IXion range:
The IX-8000IR is an infrared day/night camera package
complete with 18 IR LEDs. The package includes an
environmental housing and auto-iris varifocal 3.8-9.5mm
lens. The VC565-DN is a day/night colour/monochrome
camera with a mechanical IR filter. The camera is ideal for
applications where full colour surveillance is needed
during the day and low light level operation at night.
Vicon’s other range of DSP cameras offers a range of
resolutions and
sensitivities. The VC355-DSP is a general-purpose
camera, the VC365-DSP a high-resolution and the
VC465-DSP has a high-sensitivity EXview™ CCD for low
light performance.
The V894CSH/WSH High-Security Housing System is
constructed in heavygauge stainless steel with a thick
Lexan window and is designed to be corner or wall
mounted. The housing comes complete with a choice of
high-resolution
colour or day/night camera and with a 3.3-12.0mm

MATRIX SYSTEMS
Vicon’s Nova series Matrix Systems are microprocessor-
based control systems designed to control CCTV installations
from the very large and complex down to smaller, simpler
systems.
The Nova Matrix series consists of the traditional analogue-
based V1411A, V1422, V1344 and V1466 with the V1500 for
switching and control over IP networks. Pre-configured systems
are possible up to 256 camera inputs and 32 monitor outputs.
Larger systems are accommodated by the V1500 that can
control up to 8000 cameras by 500 monitor and keypad stations.
The V1500 system is perfect for remote site requirements with
centralised control. It is a network based matrix controller for
video switching, PTZ control, alarm functions and keypad
operation over IP networks. This powerful system consists of a
Central Processing Unit (CPU) and companion
Communication Distribution Units (CDU). Each CDU acts as a
gateway from the network environment translating CPU
commands. IP-addressable CDUs enable remote sites to
function independently or as part of a distributed network
controlled by a central CPU.
The V1411A is designed to be used with any Vicon
programmable keypad. It is a complete switching system
providing control for up to 16 cameras to 4 monitor outputs.
The V1422 puts the massive power of the big Nova
systems into a compact package for small systems,
adding many new features. The V1422 is a selfcontained
digital control and switching system for up to 32 cameras
and 8 monitors and includes an integral keypad with
joystick. A unique advantage of the V1422 is the ability to
transmit control data via either coaxial cable, twisted pair
or a combination of both making it the perfect answer for
system upgrades as well as expansions and new
systems.
The V1344 Nova series is a high-density matrix switching
system pre-configured to simplify the design and
installation of complex security installations.
Ordering is a simple matter of identifying the number of
camera inputs present within the installation and then
ordering the appropriate model number.
Vicon will select the system components necessary for
that installation size.
The system consists of CPU card, time/date/titler card and
video switching cards housed directly into the Matrix 44
high-density card cage.
The V1466 Nova series is a super-high-density matrix
switching system for larger systems. It combines the power
of the Nova series with advanced software and is
incorporated into a Matrix 66 card cage with an internal
CPU.
The V1466 is pre-configured as for the V1344 systems
dependent on numbers of cameras and monitors.
The software offers all standard matrix switching functions
and in addition extensive guard tour-sequence support and
sector titling.
Keypad Controllers come in a number of versions - the
V1410X-DVC space saving desktop, V1411X-DVC
standard desktop, the V1411J-DVC with 3-axis joystick, the
traditional style V1300X-DVC desktop and the V1300X-
RVC rack mounted. All give complete switching and control
of the Nova series systems.
The System Console is a master control station that brings
together the power of Nova CPU-based matrix systems,
AurorAcorD DVR’s, AurorA 2000 multiplexers and VCR’s.
The V1400X-VLD Video Loss Detector is a single unit
designed for up to 256 camera inputs and gives a NOVA
V1466 matrix system the ability to respond to a loss of video
signal from any camera.
The V1400X-IDL is a RS-422 data distributor used to create a
star configuration of up to 10 keypads or receivers from the
CPU.
The V1300X-IA allows external alarm devices to be
connected to a matrix system.
The V1332AF unit provides audio follow for up to 32 inputs.
The V422-VI is a protocol converter that converts RS-422
telemetry to coaxial control.
There are 3 families of Receivers available for use with
matrix systems.
• DC Receivers - the V1305 outdoor receiver is designed to
control 24VDC variable speed pan and tilt heads via RS422. It
comes with optional heater and extra relay output card.
• 12 Function AC - the V1306R low cost receiver is a basic
receiver for 24 VAC pan and tilt heads without pre-set
capability. It is available with or without a weatherproof
enclosure.
• 17 Function AC - the V1311RB receiver for 24 VAC pan
and tilt heads offers 90 pre-set positions. It must be fitted with
either a VPS interface card for RS-422 communication or a VI
• 12 Function AC - the V1306R low cost receiver is a basic receiver for 24 VAC
pan and tilt heads without pre-set capability. It is available with or without a
weatherproof enclosure.
• 17 Function AC - the V1311RB receiver for 24 VAC pan and tilt heads offers
90 pre-set positions. It must be fitted with either a VPS interface card for RS-422
communication or a VI card for use with the V1422 system using coaxial
communication.
MULTIPLEXERS, QUADS, MOTION DETECTION AND VCR’S

The AurorA 2000 series of digital multiplexers with

telemetry offers all the features expected of an
advanced multiplexer.
AurorANet:
AurorANet is a feature of the AurorA product range. It
is a proprietary communication protocol used to link
multiple AurorA 2000 units together with multiple
VCRs, keyboards and switchers. An AurorANet
network can be as small as one remote keypad to one
multiplexer, or as large as 32 multiplexers, 32 VCRs, 8
MIUs and 16 remote keypads.
Telemetry control:
Using the front panel keys, up to 16 pan and tilt camera
stations can be remotely controlled with 8 step variable
speed operation.
The V5400MUX is a non-expandable 4-way real-time
multiplexer. It offers time and date display with caption
features, multiple alarm functions including video
motion and external and video loss alarm and 2x digital
zoom. It is a fully featured multiplexer for where
telemetry is not required.
The V4400QS Real-Time Quad is a fully featured unit
that provide on-screen real-time display of four camera
inputs. Each quadrant may befrozen or displayed full-
screen and the camera inputs can be sequenced full-
screen in place of a quad display. With 4 alarm inputs, 1
relay output and on-screen user-programming capability,
these units offer highly flexible
video handling.
The VCR502-P-2 is a compact, non-rack-mountable unit
offering
up to 960 hours of recording on one tape.
PAN AND TILTS
Vicon’s Pan & Tilt range offers a combination of
aesthetically pleasing design with rugged construction giving
long, reliable operation.
The units are designed for 24 volts offering immediate
compatibility with the EU low voltage directive.
The V3030APT is a highly popular indoor unit, also available
with a square mounting base. It can be inversely mounted.
The V3400 is a light-duty unit for internal or external use.
The Vistar series is a range of robust, versatile and
economic internal or external pan & tilts designed to give
years of dependable service.
The Vistar 35 has a maximum load of 16Kg and is suitable
for the majority of applications where standard fixed speed is
sufficient.
The Vistar25 is the DC driven version giving variable,
high-speed operation. Both units have a universal mounting
base and a removable housing tray for easy installation.
The V380PTX is an explosion proof pan & tilt specially
designed for hazardous environments.
MONITORS
Vicon’s Monochrome Monitor range offers high resolution
(1000 lines at centre), high contrast pictures on a choice of
the popular 9 inch, 12 inch, 15 inch and 20 inch sizes.
The VM614 Colour Monitor is a 14 inch high quality,
medium resolution unit, in a metal case. It offers an
economic solution to colour viewing needs without sacrificing
build or image quality.
Vicon’s Large-Screen Colour Monitors are designed to
produce very high quality colour pictures from a range of
input signals. Capable of operating from PAL, SECAM, and
NTSC, with composite video, SVHS and RGB inputs, plus
audio, the range of uses for this product line is extensive.
15” and 21” sizes are available with high contrasted pictures
of better than 400 TV lines of resolution. The monitors are
equipped with inset carrying handles and threaded base
inserts to facilitate fixing to a tiltable mount.
The VLCD-19 LCD Monitor provides sharp high contrast
colour pictures from a range of input signals. Capable of
operating from composite video, SVHS and RGB inputs.
HOUSINGS
Vicon’s Housing range encompasses indoor and outdoor
applications with a full range of in-ceiling, wall, ceiling or pan & tilt
mounted models and a complete range of sizes. The outdoor
models come complete with sunshield and either 24 VAC or 240
VAC heater.
Vicon’s housings are attractively styled and combine easily with
the Vicon pan & tilt and mounting ranges. They are constructed to
provide easy camera adjustment and, where appropriate,
tamperproof security.
The Maximum Security range of housings provides a tamper-
resistant means of concealing a video camera on either a ceiling
or wall and is intended for use in high-risk areas where
surveillance equipment is vulnerable to physical or criminal
violence.
Constructed of high strength ten-gauge welded steel and a high-
strength Lexan viewing window the MSH range is ideal for car
parks, prisons or sensitive installations not under constant patrol
cover.

MOUNTINGS
The Bracket and Mount range
offered by Vicon meets the majority of mounting requirements
for housings and pan and tilts. From the lightest indoor load to
the heaviest outdoor application the range is designed to
complement the looks of the equipment being mounted, as
well as provide discrete cable management.
A range of Column, Monitor and Pole Mounts are available
to supplement the range, and provide alternative mounting
arrangements.
The heavy-duty column mounts are constructed of
weatherproof aluminiumand can be used with adjustable
heads to provide repositioning capability.
The monitor mounts provide secure wall or ceiling mounting
for CCTV monitorsand are finished in dark grey enamel and
black anodised aluminium.
The pole adapters enable the use of Vicon’s range of
mountings on a round pole and are capable of
withstanding extreme weather conditions.
The parapet mount enables the fixing of mountings from the
inside surfaceof a roof parapet
LENSES
A full range of Varifocal lenses are listed. These lenses give
added flexibilitywith a single lens capable of a range of focal
length settings. The lenses offer fast maximum apertures with

Corrected lenses are included which are specifically designed for
modern day/night cameras.
A range of Fixed-Focal-Length lenses are included. These
lenses have been chosen to provide a high-quality but economic
accompaniment to the Vicon camera range. The lenses range
from 2.6 to 8.0mm focal length. Manual iris lenses are included for
internal applications and direct drive auto-iris lenses
for external applications.
The range of Zoom Lenses offered by Vicon are 1/3-inch
compact units offering good light transference capability with f-
stop ratings down to f1.0.
The complete range offers spot filters to extend the f-stop to f560
to accommodate high-sensitivity cameras.
FIBRE OPTIC EQUIPMENT
Vicon offers a full range of Fibre Optic Transmission
equipment and accessories. Single and multi-channel,
video and data transmission options are available along
with racking equipment and power supplies.
All Fibre Optic equipment listed is multimode.
Singlemode fibre is available on request. Please call the
