If one leaves Madina then he will not find the resort of heaven
If there is a love of Madina then it is guaranteed of the heaven

On the earth, he is called Mohammed and Ahmed in the skies

His praise is in the world and also his praise is found in the skies

There is his great rule in Madina also he is a ruler of the skies

Madina is capital and he is the great ruler of the two worlds

Preface

In this book translation of episodes from the Urdu edition of the book “100
Waqat of Sultan Bahu” is added by me upon its translation into the English
edition and this book is well known and this is a famous book which is
written by Mohammed Masood Quaderi and who wrote this book in the
Urdu language and which is translated by me into English language first
time and given its title as “50 Events of Sultan Bahu”.
These episodes have been translated by me into the English language from
the above old book of the Urdu language and in which there are available
some great achievements, as well as his commands and teaching of the
students of the mystic way by Sultan Bahu in the area of the Sindh and
which are not yet known to the general and special persons are added in this
book and which are available in a very interesting style so, for this reason,
the readers will find great interest and attention in this matter.
Due to the above facts and details, if the readers will start treading its first
page of the book and will not stop reading till they will reach this book’s last
page as some interesting events and as well as other great miracles and
endeavors of the holy saint of the world Hazrat Sultan Bahu is added in this
book and this holy saint was passed away from the world many centuries
and years ago.
Even though this is a small book, but due to its importance, it is so great due
to the coverage of many interesting events and positive information so it is
like an ocean of knowledge and information of who was passed away from
the world upon doing his great endeavors and many hard tasks for the
teaching and propagation of the Islamic religion and the work of Islam and
he was done in the Baghdad area so this book is a great book and it will
present the ocean of knowledge for the guidance of people towards the right
path of Islam.

To write about this great Saint and the great spiritual master is not only it is
difficult and but it is a very hard task as Hazrat Sultan Bahu was not only a
great pious personality of his time in the area of Baghdad but he was also a

great and famous spiritual master so, in brief, he was a great holy person of
Allah of his time in Sindh region.
For a long time, he was engaged in religious discourses, sermons, and
spiritual training of the people and he did also many great endeavors for the
preaching and propagation work of Islam in Baghdad and around this
region, and also there was no such personality during his time in the world.

50 Events of Hazrat Sultan Bahu

About his date of birth in the books of biographies, different traditions are
mentioned therein. Among them, authoritative saying about the year 1039
Hegira is the correct date of his birth. When he has come into the mortal
world and at that time there was the rule of king Shah Jehan in India. He
belongs to the family of Sadat (Sadat is a suffix, which is given to females
believed to be descendants of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad) as per the
reference from the book Manaqab Sultani by Moulana Sultan Hamed that
“His genealogical link connected with Ali ibn Taleb (R.A.) in the 31
generations.

He was a saint by his birth. He was pledged to the hands of Hazrat shah
Habeeb Quaderi in the Sufi chain of Quaderia. He was the author of a large
number of books. But about secret and points, he was many discourses in

this matter. As well as he was a famous poet of the Punjabi language. And in
his poetry, there is a reformation of the way society is mentioned.
Hazrat Sultan Bahu was a person of revelation and miracles. And by his
writing, he was given a message of brotherhood and friendship. And in his
writing, he has quoted at many places exegesis of Quran as well as there is
much usage of Hadith (sayings of the prophet.)
He has made the center and axis of his poetry for the love and devotion of
his spiritual master Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani. In his writings, Sultan Bahu
refers to Abdul Qadir Jilani as his spiritual master, even though Hazrat Jilani
died long before the birth of Sultan Bahu. His books which were written by
him are more than approximately 150 books but among many of them are
lost bypassing of the time. He has married four women. And Allah has given
him a large number of children. He has spent most of his lifetime in the
journey as well as tour and travel and visiting green places and a large
number of people were benefitted by him.
Sultan Ariffin left this mortal world on first Jamal Thani in the year 1102
Hegira on the night of Friday.
The shrine of Sultan Bahu is located in Garh Maharaja, Punjab. It was
originally built on Bahu's gravesite until the Chenab River changed its
course causing the need to relocate twice and as witnessed by those present
at the time of relocation, claimed that his body was, in fact, still intact at the
time. It is a popular Sufi shrine and people come from far-off places to join
the celebrations.

1.The special intimacy of Sultan Bahu with Allah

Upon his holy birth, the blessed name was given as Sultan Bahu to him and
he is well known as Sultan Ariffin. And in the book Muhkam Fuqra, Sultan
Bahu has given its details as follows.“ My name Bahu was given to me by

my mother as per the order of the prophet and I am happy by my name that
in it if there is added word “Hu” and may Allah shower his mercy upon my
mother as she has given my name as Bahu. And by adding one dot it will
become “Yahu” and for this sake, there will be created one special intimacy
with Allah.

2 . An Invisible warning was given to his father

Sultan Bahu’s father's name is Bayazid Mohammed. His father is a holy,

virtuous, and pious follower of Islamic Shariah, a Quran-conner as well as a
perfect Islamic jurist. The people of his place have much respect and give
honor to him.
Hazrat Bayzid Mohammed who was an officer and he was well known for
his bravely in his all area. King Shah Jehan used to respect him very much.
In lieu of his services, he has given him one completed village in Shorkot in
the district Jhang. Shah Jehan has given him 50,000 Bighas (A bigha is a
traditional unit of land in several parts of South Asia. Sale and purchase of
the land (particularly agricultural land) are still done unofficially in this unit.
However, the area is recorded in hectare or square meters in official land
records. Bigha varies in size from one part of India to another. Various
states and often regions within the same state have different sizes attributed
to the bigha. It is usually less than one standard acre (43,560 square feet or
4,047 square meters) but can extend up to 3 acres (1.2 hectares) of land and
some wells to him.
For the demand of children, there was created desire in the heart of Hazrat
Bayazid Mohammed. Hazrat Bibi Rasti was a pious and virtuous lady. And
her abstinence and worship created a lamp of loving Allah in her husband.
And there was came thought in his heart that it is regret that he has spent his
life in the wastage way and in such things. It is will very great loss that his
wife is a friend of Allah and his husband is a person of carelessness as well
as greed and passion. And due to this an invisible warning and there was the
effect on his heart so he was repented truly in this matter. And he was
returned back toward Allah. And he was decided to leave the world. Then he

has left his royal post and went lonely on his horse toward the unknown
place.
Hazrat Bayazid Mohammed was wandered for a long time in the jungles and
deserted places. And he was engaged there in worship and endeavors. And
when he was reached to one river bank in Multan then in charge of the
riverbank was present him in the court of the ruler of Multan. There was
find an authority on his face. Upon asking his details by the ruler of Multan
he was hidden his details and told him that he is a traveler. And ruler was
asked him whether he will like to do a job in his court. Then he said yes but
on some of his conditions which are as follows.
1. His residence will be in a pure place.
2. I do not think any person my ruler as my ruler is Allah.
3. I will not say Salam to any higher officer
Hazrat Bayazid’s conditions were accepted and he got the royal post. He
along with his post used to do much worship. Due to his much worship and
mystical exercises which were accepted in the court of Allah. As he has left
his post, house, and all his things so for this reason Shah Jehan was worried
about this matter. And he has sent his soldiers on all sides to search him. But
there was not known his whereabouts. And during this period in the
surrounding areas of Multan, there were started revolts. And in those days
there was a problem arise between the ruler of Multan and Raja Maravat for
the desert of Bikaner. And the problem was reached to the battle level. But
in the manifest way both of the rulers sending their messenger for treaty and
peace. But the history has taken them toward bloody war.
When he was known in this matter then he came out of the room and
decorated arms on his body and sat on the horse. And he went into the court
of the ruler of Multan. And he told him that “He wants to fight with the Raja
of Marwat individually. The ruler was surprised and asked with him whether
you fight with the Raja alone.? And Bayazid Mohammed told him with
passion and lust that “ He will use his salary alone so he will fight with the
Raja alone.” Upon hearing the talk of the Bayazid the ruler began smiling
but he did not care in this matter. And he told him clearly that “ To send
with him there with one person who can guide me in this matter. And

leaving the remaining work on the will and wish of Allah. And it will be
done according to the will of Allah between me and Raja Marwat.
The ruler of Multan has sent Bayazid with one person toward the side of
Raja Marwat. When he has reached Marwat then he has sent back his friend
to Multan. And he himself went toward the city and city guards have opened
the doors of the fort by thinking him an officer of the foreign country. He
was reached in the court of Raja Marawat on his horseback. And the
courtiers by seeing the coming of the one foreign Muslim person by
boldness so, for this reason, they could not stop him there. Raja Marwat at
that time who was busy in the royal court while discussing and taking advice
with royal courtiers. Before knowing his intention in this matter the
courtiers and Raja then he has raised his sword and cut off the head of the
Raja from his body and which was fallen on the earth. He was by holding
the head of the Raja in one of his hand and by his other hand by holding the
sword in another hand and by showing the art of the sword and removing all
hurdles on his way and soon he has reached the place where his horse was
there and rode on the horseback and with much higher speed, he ran outside
of the limit of the fort. The army of Multan ruler was started advance toward
Marwat by this time and they have seen that one fast speed horse rider by
holding one head in his hand coming toward their side and were surprised
by seeing this scene. He has put the head of the Raja Marwat near the foot of
the ruler of Multan. And who was leading the army of Multan. The ruler of
Multan was surprised to see the cut head of the ruler of Marwat. And he was
seeing some time the cut head of the Raja of Marwat and some time he will
see Hazrat Bayazid. When he was out of surprise then he was made the
slogan of victory. And the army has replied to his slogan.
When there was reached news of cutting off the head of Raja Mrawat in
Delhi then King Shah Jehan has sent his soldiers to Multan. And they have
recognized Bayazid. And who was the same Bayazid who left his post in the
hidden away? And when the soldiers were informed of Shah Jehan then he
has written the order to the ruler of Multan as follows.
“ To send Bayazid Mohammed to that same area which was under his
command so that he can take responsibility of the area in this matter.”

Upon receiving the order of king Shah Jehan the ruler of Multan was called
Bayazied Mohammed in his court and told him about the order of the king.
Then he has written one application to King Shah Jehan as follows.
“ I am grateful for the favour of the king of India. But my weak shoulders
are unable to bear such heavy responsibility at the present time. As well as
life is not supporting me in this matter. And it is not known when it will
leave my company. So for this reason I am going to return to the court of
Allah. And my Allah gives me divine help and also to give you reward for
my favours in this matter. So I may be allowed exemption to be present in
the royal court for the above reason.”
Upon receiving the application of Bayazid Mohammed so King Shah Jehan
has stopped him from performing royal duties. And he has given him some
more property for him.

3.Allah is going to give a good heir

Hazrat Bibi Rasti became pregnant then she has sent his brothers to Multan
to bring Hazrat Bayazid from Multan. Upon reaching Multan they have told
him about their aim of the visit of Multan. But Hazrat Bayazid was refused
to come from there to Shorkot and he has said to them that “ You go and ask
your sister if she wants then he will come there. Otherwise, he will not come
there.”
When Hazrat Bibi Rasti was able to know in this matter being religious,
pious, and as well as a woman of the good attributes and she has given
preference to present in the service of her husband. And in spite of her
pregnancy, she has covered a long-distance journey. And she came into the
presence of her husband in Multan. And she has explained to him the
condition of the situation. And upon it, Hazrat Bayazid has gone into
prostration of Allah for his favour and thanks. And he has performed many
of the prayers in the court of Allah. As that he has a wish of desiring his
heir. And he went into the prostration and he was prayed as follows.
“ Allah the Almighty who is the giver of a good heir.”

Then Hazrat Bayazid returned back to Shorkot on a permanent basis along

with his wife.

4.The fall of mercy upon Rasti Bibi

Hazrat Sultan Bahu’s mother used to perform the five congregational

prayers and she was a pious lady of her time. She was among the genius
women of her time. Her interest in religion, worship, and mystical exercises
which were enabled his husband Bayazid Mohammed toward a mystical
way. And to act upon the teaching and preaching of the Islamic religion.
About him, Hazrat Sultan Bahu has mentioned in his book “Ainal Faqr” that
there is the mercy of Almighty Allah upon the life of the Rasti Bibi, oh Rasti
Bibi you have shown me the decoration of right way.”

5.Glad tidings before his birth

Before the birth of Sultan Bahu, her mother Rasti Bibi was given glad
tidings by the revelation that one perfect holy person will be born into his
house. And with him, there will be benefitted by a large number of the
persons. And he will become famous and well known in the whole world.
The glad tiding which was given by Rasti Bibi was fulfilled in this way that
Sultan Bahu was born as a perfect holy person by birth. And when he was
sat on the throne of teaching and advise then at that time a large number of
people were benefitted by him. And the people were used to think to present
in his service as a matter of pride in this matter.

6. He was holy saints by birth

The sign of the saintliness of Hazrat Sultan Bahu was that during his
childhood there was came Ramadan month and he did not drink milk during
the fasting time. His father was worried and he has called the doctor and
doctor upon inspection in light of his experience he told Bayazid that “
There is no any illness to the boy and it will happen sometimes that the boy

will not drink milk without any reason. And if the boy will not drink after 24
hours then inform him.”
Upon saying this doctor went away. Sultan Bahu did not drink milk
throughout the day. But at that time of fast-break Rast Bibi was given milk
so he drinks milk with fondness. And the same event happened the next day.
So Hazrat Bayazid when was going to call the doctor then Rasti Bibi was
stopped him by saying that “Your son is not ill but he is keeping fast and
any fast keeper how can eat during the day time?.” Hazrat Bibi Rasti has
consoled her husband and she said him to look that he will drink at the time
fasting breaking.”
It happened like that and so then Hazrat Bayazid began thinking that his son
is a saint by birth. Then his matter began well known and famous in the
area. So people began coming to visit him in his house.

7.There is the effect of light of eyes on the hearts

There was a strange type of shining in his eyes by his birth so for this reason
when he looks at anything then there will be a change of its condition. When
he began walking then there was created uproar in the people of the Shorkot.
Even though he used to walk by putting his look at the downside but when
he will look by the upright condition of his head then his look will befall
upon any Muslim person then he will make loud and cry and say that “ By
God swearing, this boy is not a general boy but in his eyes, there is a strange
light and it is such light and which is effecting our hearts directly.”

8.The problems of Hindus

There was a strange light in the eyes of Sultan Bahu and when his look will
befall on any Hindu person then he will become Muslim by reciting the
Islamic creed. There were many populations of the Hindus in Shorkot so
with his birth there was a wave of worries created for them. They came to
see his father Hazrat Bayazid and have complained in this matter that “
When your boy looks upon any non-Muslim then he will become a Muslim.
And due to your son, there is a danger which is causing for our religion. We
are facing difficulty to live Shorkot for this reason.
When Hazrat Bayazid has heard their complaint about his boy and he was
surprised and he told them “What I can do for all of you.? It is your
weakness that upon seeing one small boy you are changing your religion.
How I can ask my son not to look at any side.” The Hindus told that “It is
not the fault of your son but it is the fault of your maidservant who took him
outside untimely.” Hazrat Bayazid told that “ You are demanding a strange
thing and so how I can ask my maidservant not to go outside.?” And Hindus
told him that “ You fixed certain time of his outside visit and at that time
only he can go outside at such prescribed time.”
Hazrat Bayazid has called her servant and he was given her instruction in
future that she should take Sultan Bahu outside at certain time only and
except this, she should keep him inside the house.”

9.The wisdom of light

In the books of biographies, it is mentioned that upon happening of the

above event then they tied ringlets in the foot of Sultan Bahu. So that when
he will be out of the house then people can know about his coming outside
of his house. So that they can leave him. The group of Hindu persons left
from Hazrat Bayazid upon satisfaction of measure taken by him in this
matter. They went and have arranged for some persons to make an
announcement in the louder voice upon the coming of his outside of the
house of Hazrat Sultan Bahu along with his servant. So when he will come

outside of the house then at that time callers of Hindus make loud and cry in
this matter.
“ All should be aware that the son of Bayazid has come outside of his
house.”
When the callers will make such announcements and loud and cry then
Hindus will go inside of the houses and close the shops. So that they will be
safe and secure from the effects of the lights of the eyes of Sultan Bahu. The
Hindus walking on the ways will be run out here and there. The Hindu
priests have advised the people that where they find the boy then do not to
look at him. And turn direction from his side and stand. And in spite of such
strictness if any Hindu will come in the effect of his look then he will not
able to bear his look and he will become Muslim. In the Shorkot and around
its surrounding area many thousand Hindus were become Muslims due to
the wisdom of the light of his eyes. Hazrat Sultan Bahu has shown an
example of the saying of the prophet which is as follows.
“Fear due to wisdom of the Momen (faithful) as he looks from the light of
Allah.”
Sultan Arifin has got much of this power of the wisdom of the light at the
time of his birth by Almighty Allah.”

10.The Hindu doctor become Muslim

In the books of biographies, it is written that one-time Sultan Bahu has

become ill. Hazrat Bayazid has called the Hindu doctor of the area to check
his son and to find the cause of his illness. The doctor has heard him about
the miracles of Sultan Bahu and so he was afraid. And he asked Hazrat
Bayazid to bring a urine sample in the bottle so that he can able to know
about the cause of the illness. Hazrat Bayazid has given a urine sample
bottle to the doctor and when he has inspected the sample of urine then he
began reciting the Islamic creed and he became a Muslim.

11.The Fakir came from the side of Allah

From the books of Sultan Bahu, it is known that he did not obtain
knowledge of manifest. He was a holy person by his birth. So he was Quran-
Conner, Hadith-Conner, and has knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence and
Sufism, philosophy and logic, and law as well as excellence on other
knowledge. The proof of the mastery of his writing is found in the books
written by him. He was obtained spiritual favours from the prophet and
about this matter, he has mentioned in his book at the different places that he
has said that he has obtained teaching of inspired knowledge only from
Almighty Allah and the prophet and in this matter, he has said that “ This
Fakir came from the side of Allah and from there he has brought reality. So
all my sayings are reality. And free from falseness and as well as free from
full of the absolute falseness.”

12.The knowledge of spiritualism made my life pure

The books of Sultan Bahu shown events of his heart. At one place he has
written as follows.“ I do not have knowledge of manifest with me. But due
to events of the invisible, I have got many successes of knowledge of
innermost and for writing them there is required many books in this matter.”
The status of his knowledge could be known from his following couplet.
“ Even though I do not have knowledge of manifest but knowledge of
innermost which has made my life pure and clean.”

13.The knowledge and the jewels of the knowledge of God

Sultan Bahu used to like loneliness since his birth time. And like other
children of his time, he does not have an interest in fun and play. His
loneliness was a sign in reality that he should be away and safe from fun and

play. His mother has higher status in a spiritual way. And she has given his
name as Bahu. And by the source of remembrance of Allah, he has obtained
knowledge of God. And she aware of his son’s higher status and position.
So she adopted such a way of his training that he can get with which
intimate knowledge of Allah. And this was the effect of his mother’s
training that he was able to get higher status and ranking in the stainless.
And a large number of people were benefitted in this matter. And he has
spread jewels of knowledge and intimate knowledge of God. And its living
proofs are his books. And today which is still will guide and position to the
real lover of Allah in this matter.

14 . The condition of reality

Hazrat Sultan Bahu has kept before him throughout his life about his mother
Rasti Bibi’s daily recital of Allah. And as well as to get its elegance before
his look. The heart of Bibi Rasti was full of the love of the beloved of
reality. And her soul was warm with the remembrance of Allah. And
afterward, he was able to know in this matter. And such conditions were
passed upon him. And as per the saying of Sultan Bahu that “His mother has
got such recital of hidden that from her eyes there will be a discharge of
blood in this matter. And such condition which was also become of him.
And this condition is called Huzur Haq ( presence in the court of Allah).

15.I have surrendered myself to Allah

When Hazrat Sultan Bahu sat on the throne of teaching and advice then he
has taken support of his written books. For the writing of the books, he has
to have separate status and superior position. Whatever he has written in his
books reflects his status and position of spiritualism. He has said in his book
Noor Al-Huda that “ I have not copied any sentence or saying from any

book. But due to the favour of Almighty Allah and prophet I said these
things. And I have surrendered myself to Allah.”

16. I have pledged to the prophet

Hazrat Sultan Bahu has mentioned in his book Ain Fakhr about his pledge to
the prophet and he has said that “One day I was standing on the hill in
surrounding of Shorkot then at that time one personality of light came there
on horseback and he caught my hand and he asked me to sit on the horse
with him. I have asked him who are you.? And where you are taking me. He
said that he is Ali Ibn Taleb (R.A.). And I am taking you in the court of the
prophet. And then he has taken me in the court of the prophet and at that
time caliphs, family members of the prophet, and some companions were
present there. Then Hazrat Abu Baker Siddiq (R.A.)., and was given me
spiritual favours and benefits by his look. After this Hazrat Umar (R.A.).,
was given me spiritual favours and benefits by his look. And after him
Hazrat Usman (R.A.). was given me spiritual favours and benefits by his
look. And after this Hazrat Ali Ibn Taleb (R.A.)., was given me spiritual
favours and benefits by his look. After this prophet has caught my hand and
I have given my hand to him. And he was accepted my pledge in this way.
Hazrat Sultan bahu has explained his pledge in the Persian couplet in this
book at the end of this chapter.

17. The specialties of the perfect spiritual master

Hazrat Sultan Bahu has said that when he has held the holy hand of the
prophet then at that time there went away all veils from me. And I have seen
all things as same and equal. And my look has fallen on the tablet. Then
after going away of veils then whatever I have seen from my eyes of
manifest and whatever I have heard by my ears. He has said about favours
and benefits which he has obtained from the prophet are as follows.

“Almighty Allah has given me knowledge of the manifest by the source of

the prophet.”
Hazrat Sultan Bahu has mentioned in his book Ain Fakhar and Muhk Fuqra
that “The perfect spiritual master should be such that who should make his
student perfect in his one look and reach him to the higher level of status.
And to keep him away from the veils and engaged him in the observation.”

18.Son of the Bibi Fatima

Hazrat Sultan Bahu said that “One-time prophet has advised me to recite one
phrase so then there was leftover of veils of the status and position. And
everything was made for me the same and equal. And I have got status of
the position of a higher grade of the end of it and is to go back to the
beginning when I have got the excellence of advice then Bibi Fatima told
me that “You are my son.”

Hazrat Sultan Bahu said that then he has kissed the foot of Imam Hasan and
Imam Hussain and wear in my neck the collar of slavery. Then the prophet
told me that “ The love of mankind is the order of Allah.”

19. Pledge to Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani

Hazrat Sultan Bahu said that after taking my pledge

then prophet has given my hands into the holy hands of Shaikh Abdul
Quader Jilani and he surrendered me to him. Then I have pledged to him and
he was awarded me with spiritual favours and blessings and then while
advising me Shaikh Abdul Quader told me that “To perform duties of
teaching and advise the mankind and give them sermon and discourses.”

20.Attachment to Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani

Hazrat Sultan Bahu said that “The meaning of surrender me to Shaikh Abdul
Quader Jilani which shows this matter that all of my stages of spiritualism
will be completed by his source. So for this reason there was attachment and
heartily intimacy of me with Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani. Sultan Bahu in his
book Ratab -Alinsan has mentioned his devotion and love with Shaikh
Abdul Quader Jilani as follows.
“All the Peers and spiritual masters who are students of Shaikh Abdul
Quader Jilani. And among Mashaik (saint) of the world
Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani is perfect and superior and incomparable. In his
Sufi chain of Quaderia, there is such blessing is that if any person will say
by his tongue by sincerity and truth of the heart “Ya Sheikh Abdal Qaadir
Jilani Shai un lillah" .When asking for assistance from those servants of
Allah Ta'ala whom He has appointed as helpers of the Ummah as
per Sunnah Wal Jama'at believes that it is absolutely permissible to say.
When upon him there will be manifested and lighted clearly all status of the
knowledge of Allah and saintliness.

21. His entry into the court of the prophet

Upon the above event, Sultan Bahu was engrossed in the love of the real
beloved as such that he was lost his senses. He used to be engaged always in
a happier condition of the look of elegance and majesty of Allah. And he
used to observe the brilliance of Allah.

My wine bearer finished the position of me and you

Upon giving to me the drink of the wine of La Ila Ha

Sultan Bahu then went to visit many holy persons of Allah and he was
benefitted by favour in their company. And from there he was obtained
spiritual favour but real favour of innermost from which his personality
became a source of favours to the mankind which he has obtained by the
source of Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani and by Hazrat Ali Ibn Taleb (R.A.)
and by a prophet of Allah. Sultan Bahu said as follows.
“ If the innermost of the person which will be accepted by Allah then he will
be able to enter into the court of the prophet. And one who has the blessing
of getting of teaching and religious instruction and a pledge by the prophet
and one who has followed the advice of the prophet in his manifest and
innermost way and for such person there is no need of spiritual master in a
manifest way. This saying is not a reflection of anybody but it is my own
condition that I can mention the condition of anyone and can reveal
condition upon anyone or show to him as per my desire.”

22. Request of pledge with his mother

Sultan Bahu has obtained spiritual favours and blessings from Shaikh Abdul
Quader Jilani. There was came one time when he has needed a spiritual
master for his needs of manifest way. He went into the presence of his
mother and requested her to make him her disciple. And Hazrat Bibi Rasti
told him that “Oh my son whatever my prays which were required given to
you. And all my prays are for your welfare and prosperity. And I could not
make you my disciple.” And Hazrat Sultan Bahu in his passion of love told
her that “ What is a hindrance for my pledge with you. As such in this
matter who will be better for me as my spiritual than you and you are the
kind and affectionate personality of a mother for me.”
Hazrat Rast Bibi told him that “ Leave your love and obedience at one side
but in the Islamic religion, there are found some of the basic principles and
for such rules, no rightful Muslim can not make amendments there in it. But
my position in your look should be higher as well as reliable but keep in
mind that no woman can be eligible to sit on the throne of the spiritual

guide. And if you want to complete stages of the spiritual way then search
for a perfect spiritual master and pledge on his hands and to complete stages
of the mystical way. The secrets and points of mystic way will be shown to
you by your spiritual master. And whatever I had with me which I have
already given to you.”
When Sultan Bahu heard his mother’s reply then he was asked her where he
should search for the perfect spiritual master.? And Hazrat Bibi Rasti told
him that “ To search for the
perfect spiritual master on the earth.” And she has shown her sign in the
eastern direction. When Sultan Bahu was heard her mother’s reply then he
left his house in search of the perfect spiritual master.”
23.The search for a perfect spiritual master
Hazrat Sultan Bahu has married three women before the search for a perfect
spiritual master. He got the inheritance of his father in one village and
50,000 Baiga land. And due to this reason, there was the livelihood of the
family members running smooth way. He has got permission from his three
wives and he has surrendered them to her mother and he left the house for
the search of the perfect spiritual master. Sultan Bahu was in the search of a
perfect spiritual to remove the thirstiness of the heart and uneasiness of the
soul.

24.The meditation on the grave of Shaikh of Islam

Hazrat Sultan Bahu left his house in search of a perfect spiritual master and
he went toward the eastern direction and he has reached Multan. Upon
reaching Multan he got felicity of visiting the mausoleum of Shaikh of Islam
Bahuddin Zikeria Multani.
Shaikh of Islam Bahuddin Zikeria Multani is among the founder of the
higher Sufi chain of Suherwardia in the sub-continent of India. He has taken
a special interest in the teaching and propagation of the Islamic religious
mission. Sultan Bahu has blessed of pledge on the hands of Shaikh of Islam
Bahuddin Zikeria Multani and he was obtained robe of honour of caliphate
from him. Shaikh of Islam Bahuddin Zikeria Multani who was on the post-
Shaikh of Islam and a large number of people were benefitted from his

favour. And his son Hazrat Shaikh Saderuddin Arif and his grandson Qutub
Alam Rukanuddin Alam are among personalities of revelation and miracles
and genius holy persons of the time.
Hazrat Sultan Bahu did mediation in the mausoleum of Shaikh of Islam
Bahurddin Zikeria Multani and for a long period of time
he was sat there in meditation. Then there was the overpowering condition
of sleep upon him. And he was seen in a dream that Shaikh of Islam
Bahuddin Zikeria Multani came over there and he said to him that “He was
sent by Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani to entrain you.” Then he told me
that tell me whether I need something.? And he said to him that “He did not
need anything.” Then Shaikh of Islam Bahuddin Zikeria Multani told him
that “ When you have come here than how you will go empty from here.?”
He told him that “In reality, he did not need anything. There was the
blessing of your visit which was my aim. And Almighty Allah fulfilled my
purpose.” Shaikh of Islam Bahuddin Zikeria Multani asked him “Oh my son
you can tell your desire to me.” Then he told him that you to give me one
pure thing from your city. And which will be great good luck for me.”
Shaikh of Islam Bahuddin Zikeria Multani then told him that “If Almighty
Allah wills then your aim will be fulfilled soon.”

25. The fourth marriage of Sultan Arifin Sultan Bahu

Sultan Arifin Sultan Bahu, when he woke up from sleep, was very upset
with his dream, which he had seen in the night. He has recited Fataha on the
grave of Shaik of Islam, Hazrat Ghouse, Bahuddin Zikeria Multani, and said
the Salam, and he has left from there. Then Hazrat came out of the shrine.
And he was proceeding toward the north. When there was a time for Zuhar
prayer, Hazrat went toward the riverside. After ablution, he was going to
start the prayer there upon making the prayer intention, but he was feeling
for him that somebody was standing there at his backside, and he turned his
face, and he saw one beautiful woman standing there. Upon seeing a non-
Mahram (a Mahram is any male who you are allowed to be in front of
without a hijab, basically) woman, he has put down his look and asked her

who you are and what you are doing at this place.? The woman told him that
“she is coming at his backside by walking, and for this reason there are
blisters on his feet. Hazrat Sultan Bahu has asked her, “Why are you coming
at his backside, and what is their reason for following me in this matter?.
That woman told him, “She is the daughter of one Hindu businessman from
Multan. Since many days, there has been strange upset-ness in her inner
body. And it started with my hatred for my religion, and it is not something I
like to worship in this matter, as idols are made human beings, and to
prostrate and engage in worship. To remove the uneasiness from my heart, I
visited the shrine of the Shaik of Islam, Hazrat Ghouse, Bahuddin Zikeria
Multani, and I was able to know that from this door step, many thousand
people benefited in this matter. So I have made the intention to visit the
Shrine of the Shaik of Time so that her fate will shine in this matter. At that
time, Sultan Bahu asked her to stop her conversation so that he could
perform his prayer and continue to hear her conversation in this matter later.
Upon saying this, he stood there to perform the Zuhar prayer, and that non-
Muslim woman saw him performing the prayer. She finds bowing and
prostrations very strange. When Shaik of time has finished his prayer, he has
asked her, “Yes, this is right; your worries are in your heart, but what do you
expect from me in this matter?” That woman, by folding her hands, said, “I
have seen you at the shrine of the Hazrat Ghouse Bahuddin Zikeria Multani,
and when you come out of the shrine by seeing your face, I have become a
Muslim woman there, and I have recited the Islamic creed and accepted the
oneness of Allah. And I also accepted that Prophet Muhammad is Allah’s
last messenger. There was an order for me from Hazrat Ghouse Bahuddin
Zikeria Multani that I should remain in your service as a servant and live my
entire life. And for this reason, I began walking behind you. And one servant
—what will she need except his owner? I request that you, by your kind
favor, give me a place under your foot.”
When Shaik Bahu heard that woman’s conversation, he was surprised in this
matter. He was able to remember his conversation in meditation with Hazrat
Ghouse Bahuddin Zikeria Multani, in which he requested that he accompany

any pure thing from his city with him. Shaik Bahu told that woman, “When
there is an order from Hazrat Shaik Ghouse Bahuddin Zikeria Multani, there
will be no objection from his side. You will be satisfied in this matter that
this is your final place of departure toward your final success”. Then Hazrat
asked her to recite the Islamic creed and made her a Muslim woman. And he
was married to her. After marriage with that woman, he has taken her to
Shorkot along with him.

26.Displeasure of the mother

Hazrat Sultan Bahu was taken permission from his mother and went in
search of the spiritual master. But he was come back to Shorkot after the
marriage soon. His mother was a personality of revelation and so she usually
says to her three daughters-in-law that “ Your husband is come back upon
the marriage of one woman so do not think in this matter as your husband is
accepted in the court of Allah. And whatever he will do as per wish and
pleasure of Almighty Allah and there is nothing another thing in this matter.
And he will become a source of your salvation.”
Sultan Bahu’s three wives were pious and abstinent so for this reason they
will hear Rasti Bibi talk and will become silent. And they know that all
affairs are under the control of will and pleasure of Allah. When Sultan
Bahu came to Shorkot with their fourth wife then without any further delay
he went into the presence of his mother. And she has seen his son then he
was become angry with him and told him that “ Bahu, whether Almighty
Allah has created you to gather many of wives or there, is another aim of
your creation.?”
Upon seeing the angry condition of Bibi Rasti and his face color was
changed and he was in worrying condition and then he has asked her “
Tell me for what work Almighty Allah created me.” And Hazrat Rasti Bibi
told that “The Almighty Allah created you for intimate knowledge of

Allah.” And he was asked her that “ How he will get of intimate knowledge
of Allah.” And she told him that “Unless until you will not attach your edge
of the shirt with any perfect spiritual master then you will never get intimate
knowledge of
Allah.” When Sultan Bahu heard her mother’s conversation then he asked
her “Where he can find a perfect spiritual master.?” Hazrat Bibi Rasti told
him that” You should search for spiritual master on the earth.” When he was
heard his mother’s talk he asked her “The earth of Almighty Allah is very
wide so where should I search for a spiritual master.” And Rasti Bibi told
that “ No doubt the earth of Almighty Allah is very wide but Allah has given
ambition to his slave and to them he has given endeavour and fondness. And
for them, he has overcome the earth.” Sultan Arifin was hearing the
conversation of her mother
with much interest and she was asked that “ There should be some sign is
required. So that I can search for him.”
Bibi Rasti then was able to understand the difficulty of her son and she went
into meditation and after some time she comes back from her meditation and
then she addressed her son that “ I find the smell of your spiritual master
from this side.” And upon saying this she was pointed toward the eastern
direction. Upon this Sultan, Bahu was thanked his mother for her guidance
and he has left his four wives with his mother and again he left his house for
the search of the spiritual master under the shed of prays of his mother and
he went on his journey in the direction of the east for the search of the
spiritual master.

27. My desire will be fulfilled in this way.?

Sultan Bahu left Shorkot and as per his mother’s order, he went toward the
eastern direction. And by the continuing journey, he went to the bank of
river Ravi. When he heard about Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi from
the local persons then there was created a desire in his heart to meet him.
Hazrat

Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi was included among the holy persons of
revelation and miracles. Many of his miracles were well known and famous
on the tongues of the persons. Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi who was
residing in one village at the bank of river Ravi and searcher of the persons
of reality used to visit his village and will finish their thirstiness of
spiritualism there.
Hazrat Sultan Bahu while asking for his address of Hazrat Shah Habeeb
Allah Quaderi was reached in his village. And he was going in his meeting
place where there were find many thousand persons in search of reality. And
he was sat at one place and heard his lesson.
There was one cauldron with Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi which will
be kept on fire always and in which will there be available hot water. Every
person who will come in his meeting then will give him the order to that
person to put his hand in the cauldron and then that person who will put his
hand without hesitation in the hot water of the cauldron. Then he will
become a person of revelation and miracles. On that day persons of
searching reality were present there and he was given the order for them to
put their hands in the hot water cauldron and those who have put their hands
in the hot water then he became a person of revelation and miracles. Sultan
Bahu was sitting there and watching it silently and when Hazrat Shah
Habeeb Allah Quaderi saw him then he told him “ My son why you have
come here?. Your honour I am searching for reality. And there is the desire
for a real spiritual master. And I was heard about your good reference so I
have come here.”
Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi told him then “Why you are not put
your hand in the hot water of the cauldron.?” And if you have put your hand
in the hot water of cauldron then you would have become a person of
revelation and miracles.” Sultan Bahu to him” My Lord I have seen the
persons who have put their hands in the cauldron.” But my desire will not be
fulfilled in this way.” Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi was asked him
what do you want.”? And Sultan Bahu told him that “I am a traveler of
another way.” Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi by the knowing condition
of his heart he told him that “ You stay some days here. During these days

there will be your responsibility to bring water to the mosque. And you will
be engaged in the endeavours.”
28. There will be no peace of mind by having wealth of the world
Sultan Bahu has decided to live in the company of Hazrat
Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi and as per his order he began living in the
shrine building and next day he was took water-musk from the servants of
the shrine and went to the river and filled it with water and brought to the
shrine and filled bathroom of the mosque and with the remaining water he
has washed the courtyard of the mosque. The other darwesh persons were
watching this with surprise. And they went into the presence of Hazrat Shah
Habeeb Allah Quaderi and told him all details that how one young man
filled bathroom of the mosque with one load of water-skin water and also
with such quantity he has washed the courtyard of the mosque.
When Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi was heard about his miracle then
he was silent for some time then he has called to send the young man in his
presence. When he has got an order of his spiritual master then came into his
presence and said salam to him with much respect and honour. And Hazrat
Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi has asked him whether you have worldly
wealth with you.? And Sultan Bahu told him that “Yes, your honour I have
got estate from the inheritance of my father.” Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah
Quaderi told him that “ There will be no peace of mind by having wealth of
the world. So first you leave the property of the world and then come back
here so that there should be peace of mind for you.”
Hazrat Sultan Bahu went back to Shorkot to act upon the order of the Hazrat
Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi.

29. To keep safe your jewelry and money

Hazrat Sultan went back on his journey to Shorkot. Still, he has on the
journey then his mother was able to know by her revelation that Sultan Bahu
is coming back to Shorkot. And she was able to know the aim of his
journey. And she has called her four daughters-in-law in her service and she
told them that “To save your jeweler and money.” The daughters-in-law
were worried and was asked why she is saying this to them. And what is the
danger of our money and jewelry. Hazrat Bibi Rasti told them that “My son

and your husband is coming back.” When wives were heard this news then
they were happy. Hazrat Rasti Bibi told them that “ This is not a matter of
happiness for all of you. He is coming to spend his wealth in the way of
Allah. So the jewelry and money with you are not safe.”
Sultan Bahu’s wives even though were pious women but they have not left
the world. So they were worried about going away with jewelry and money
with them. And Hazrat Bibi Rasti while knowing their worry she told them
that “ If you act upon my advice then your jewelLery and cash will be safe
for your future life.”
The wives of Sultan Bahu have asked her “ How they can safe their jewelry
and money with them.” And Hazrat Rasti Bibi told them that “You bury
your jewelry and money in the earth so that there will be no fall of the look
of Sultan Bahu.” So the four wives have done like the same in this matter.

30. To act upon the order of the spiritual master

When Sultan Bahu was returned back into the house and went to see his
mother and said salam to her. Hazrat Bibi Rasti told her that “You have
returned back so early whether you have got perfect spiritual
master.?”Sultan Bahu told her that “ Yes perfect spiritual master was found
but he has asking for one condition before pledge.”
Hazrat Bibi Rasti asked him “ What is his condition?.” Sultan Bahu told that
“ The pure spiritual told him that first to clear from the wealth of the world
then come to see him so that he can accept the pledge.”
Hazrat Rasti told him that “ It is proper for you to fulfill the order of your
spiritual master. So you should obey his order.”
When Sultan Bahu has seen his son Sultan Noor Mohammed who was
sleeping in the cradle. And in his finger, there was a gold ring which was
kept to safety from bad look.
He has removed the gold ring and was thrown away in the street and he was
addressed to his wives that “To bring to me jewelry and money available in
the house so that he can be free from a wealth of the world.?”
When his wives have heard Sultan Bahu’s conversation then they were
worried but they were silent as per the instruction of Hazrat Rasti Bibi. And

Hazrat Rasti Bibi told him that “ There is no jewelry and money in the
house.” When he has heard the talk of his mother then he said that “Yes
your saying is right but he found smelling of the wealth coming from the
house.”
Hazrat Rasti Bibi told him that “If you were find smelling of the wealth
from the house then you can himself search for it.” Then Sultan Bahu began
to search for jewelry and money in the house and afterward, he found
jewelry and money in the concern of the house and in inside the earth. Then
he has thrown all jewelry and money out of the house in the street. Then he
has taken permission from his mother then again he went on his journey to
be a presence in the service of Hazrat Shah Habeeb Allah Quaderi.

31. The hard trail

When Sultan Bahu come back in the presence of Hazrat Habib Ali Shah
after giving away all his worldly wealth and money in the way of Allah as
per the order of Hazrat Habib Ali Shah. Upon seeing him Hazrat Habeeb Ali
Shah told him that “You are free from the wealth of the world and money
but what you will do with your wives.?”
Sultan Bahu told him that “ Oh my master I will follow you and do as per
your order”.In reality, Hazrat Habeeb Shah was taking his examination. And
still, he was showing his firmness in this matter. Hazrat Habeeb Shah told
him that “Your wives are like chains of your feet in the way of Allah so be
free from them then I will accept your pledge.”
Sultan Bahu came back one more time to Shorkot to fulfill the order of the
Hazrat Habeeb Shah and he was in such a condition of ecstasy for the
demand of way of Allah. So for this reason he was not aware of any
condition.
When Sultan Bahu left the shrine of Hazrat Habeeb Shah and when he went
on the way to Shorkot then his mother Bibi Rasti was able to know by
revelation that Sultan Bahu’s intention and his journey towards Shorkot.She
has called again her four daughters-in-law in her presence and told them that
“
“My son is coming here to finish his relations with all of you. In the way of
Allah, he was freed from wealth and money, and in the same way, he wants

to free from your relationship. So be care full in this matter. When he will
come into the house then all of you will hide backside of me. And whether it
may not happen that due to ecstasy of reality then he will not say anything to
all of you as per Islamic law. It means he may give divorce to all of you.”
Sultan Bahu knows that his mother is a person of revelation and she knows
about his intention in this matter. So he told her that “This is the order of my
spiritual master. And he wants that I should come back in his presence by
cutting chains of my feet.” When Bibi Rasti heard Sultan Bahu’s
conversation then she told him that “ Regarding the matter of your duties
which you are having with your wives and if any of your wife if will not
become difficulty on your way and leave her rights then you will become
free from your duties. But there will remain your duties toward your wives.
And if you returned back successful upon your search of the perfect spiritual
master then it is good otherwise it is not necessary for you to come back
here to fulfill your duties to your wives.”
When Sultan Bahu has heard the conversation by his mother when he was
addressed to all of his wives as follows.
“ If all of you confirm by your tongues that you have to leave your rights
then I will leave the house silently without giving all of you my divorce.”
Then all of his four wives have told by one tone that they will leave their
rights and then Sultan Bahu has taken permission from his mother and went
into the presence of Hazrat Habeeb Shah.

32. The pledge in the Sufi chain of Quaderia

When Sultan Bahu come back in the presence of Hazrat Habeeb Ali Shah
after freeing himself from the duties of his wives so then he has found
himself firm and he was accepted as his disciple and made him disciple in
the Sufi chain of Quaderia. After paying his full attention toward him and he
was asked him that “ Bahu whether you have got a desire of your heart.”
Sultan Bahu told him that “ My master the places which were revealed to
him now which are already has been disclosed to him in the cradle.”

33.Why you sir take trouble in this matter.?

Upon hearing this Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi want to test him in this
matter and vanished from the look of him and Sultan Bahu also went back to
his spiritual master. And he was reached in the jungle and at that place, he
was seen his spiritual master in the shape of an old man who was engaged in
the work of ploughing the land there with a pair of two bullocks. Sultan
Bahu wears the blanket on his shoulder like a darwesh person who wears a
saintly dress and in the shape of a darwesh person, he went into service of
his spiritual master. And he said that “ Your honour why you sir are taking
trouble.? Please have rest I will engage in the work of ploughing.”
Upon hearing this Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi come back in his original
shape so with this Sultan Bahu also come back in his original shape.

34.Baba put a mark on my forehead

When Sultan Bahu and Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi come back in their
original shapes then both of them went from there by holding their hands
together. But Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi vanished away suddenly from
his look from there. Sultan Bahu also vanished away behind his spiritual
master. This time he was seen as his spiritual master in the bazaar of Hindu
persons and at that time he was in the shape of a Hindu Brahaman person.
And in his hand, there was one utensil in which there was saffron and other
colours in it. He has seen his spiritual master who was putting a mark on the
forehead of Hindu persons who were present there. He also changed his
shape as a Hindu young person and he was sat in one shop.
When Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi was passed before the shop then Sultan
Bahu stood before his spiritual master and he told him that “Baba put a mark
on my forehead.” Upon hearing this Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi come
back in his original shape so with this Sultan Bahu also come back in his
original shape.

35. Oh Shaikh teach me also a lesson

Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi holds the hand of Sultan Bahu and he went to
one side. The third time it happened that by walking he vanished away from
the look. Sultan Bahu also followed his spiritual master and he went away
behind him. And this time Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi was going to one

Islamic city. And in the unknown mosque, he was teaching Quran there to
small boys. Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi was there in his original shape.
Upon seeing this Sultan Bahu became a small boy in shape and by holding
in his hand the primary book he went into the presence of his spiritual
master and told him that “ Oh Shaikh teach me also lesson.” Hazrat Shah
Habeeb Quaderi was recognized his voice and he came out of the mosque by
holding the hand of Sultan Bahu then he went toward his village.

36.What is there in the fate which will happen like that?.

When Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi came back to his shrine then he told him
that “ Bahu the grace which you are eligible which is out of our possibility .”
When Sultan Bahu heard his spiritual master’s talk then he told him that
“Where he should go in this matter.?” Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi told that
“ Allah will act as per the writing of the fate and whatever he wants which
will happen like that.”
Then Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi told him that “ You go Delhi where my
spiritual master Syed Abdul Rahman Quaueri is there and he is a royal
officer and you go into his presence.”
Upon hearing the order of his spiritual master he began preparation for the
Delhi journey. Hazrat Shah Habeeb Quaderi was sent with him one of his
disciples Sultan Hameed along with Sultan Bahu for the Delhi journey.

37. Meeting with one Majzoob person

In the book Manaqib Sultani it is mentioned that on his way toward the
Delhi journey on the way there was appeared on Majzoob (one lost in divine
meditation) person from one side. Upon his coming there he was struck hard
with a cane on the back of Sultan Hameed and with this strike he became
unconscious and he was fallen on the earth there.
That Majzoob person wants to strike again to him but Sultan Bahu went
forward very fast and he was caught the hand of Majzoob person and he has

seen at his side with a look of anger. And in the majestically way he told
him that “ To be keep away from his way and do not interrupt in his work.”
He told him that “ We are darwesh people of the Sahu (wake up) and
belongs to the Jamaat Ahle Sunnat (is a Muslim religious organization in
India and Pakistan that represents the Barelvi movement. Although it is a
Sunni organization and it has adopted many Sufi customs and traditions.)
When these words were coming out of the tongue of Sultan Bahu then the
hand of Majzoob person was coming down and then he went away to
another direction silently. Sultan Bahu brought Sultan Hameed in normal
condition as he was still lying on the earth in an unconscious condition.
After sometime when Sultan Hameed came back in the condition of Sahu
from Sukkar (unconsciousness) and he told him that “If he will strike you
the second time then you will live always in a condition of abstraction then
we can not bring you back from condition of abstraction to the conscious
condition.”

38. Sultan Bahu in Delhi

Hazrat Sultan Bahu and Hazrat Sultan Hameed re-started the journey from
there and bypassing of the many destinations they have reached to Delhi.
The meeting place of Hazrat Syed Abdul Rahman Quaderi was in progress.
At that time in the meeting, there were presents disciples, servants, and
devotees and all were sitting in rows. And there was a rain of words secrets
and meanings from his tongue. And there was prevailed condition of ecstasy
upon the persons who were present in the meeting place. And suddenly
Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi has stopped his sermon and he told to his
servant that “ At such and such place a person of such and such feature
darwesh has reached there and go bring in my service with much respect .”
The persons who was present in the meeting was surprised that who is such
a holy person for whom there is an arrangement of hospitality. So every
person in the meeting was in anxious condition to look at him and then that
servant brought Sultan Bahu and Sultan Hameed in the shrine. And from the
holy face of Sultan Bahu, there was prevailed grace of saintliness. But such

person who was not a person of look they thought him as ordinary darwesh
person.

39.spiritual favour of Hazrat Abdul Rahman quaderi

In the book Manqab Sultani it is mentioned that when Sultan Bahu went into
the presence of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi and said salam to him so
then he holds his hand and took him into the closet and when he took in the
closet then he has given him a spiritual thing to him which was kept there
and at the same time he said God bye to him from his shrine.

40.Test of the grace

Sultan Bahu upon receiving favour from his spiritual master Hazrat Abdul
Rahman Quaderi and he came outside of the shrine of Hazrat Abdul
Rahman Quaderi and then he began wandering in the streets and bazaars of
Delhi. It was Friday on that day. When he will look at any general and
special person then he will become a pious person in a short period of time.
So, for this reason, there was a loud and cry in the city. There was such rush
of the students of reality so for this reason, the roads in the city were closed.
The servants and disciples of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi were in the city
for some work. When they have seen such a huge rush so they have checked
the situation and have informed condition of the situation to Hazrat Abdul
Rahman Quaderi and they have told in his service all details in this matter
and they told him that “ Your honour there comes one holy person in the
city. And who due to his attention he is kindling the lamp of love in the
general persons. There is much fame of his spiritual favour.” Then Hazrat
Abdul Rahman Quaderi has asked about his place of residence in the
city?.The servants told him that “ There is no his permanent residence in the
city and he is wandering in the bazaar of Delhi and while standing he is
spreading the wealth of intimate knowledge of God.” Hazrat Abdul Rahman
Quaderi asked them to find out who is that darwesh person and from where
he has come.”? Upon receiving the order servants went to the bazaar. And

they have seen darwesh person in the huge crowd. And it was very difficult
for them to reach the darwesh person. But the servants made a way to reach
that darwesh person. When they reached near him then they found the same
darwesh person to whom the spiritual master gave him great grace. They
returned back in the presence of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi and they
have given information about Sultan Bahu and Hazrat became sad and he
was told his servants to bring him immediately in his presence.”
Sultan Arifin when he was reached a second time in the presence of grand
spiritual master then Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi told him that “ The
special grace which was given by us but you have made this special grace as
general.”
He told him that “ Your honor when the old woman will purchase hotplate
for cooking bread then at that time she will beat it well and check its
working. And in this same way when anybody will buy a bow, he will check
by stretching it whether in it there is required flexibility is there or not.? The
great grace which was given to me for which I was testing about the grace
which was given to this fakir what is its nature?
When Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi has heard his conversation then he
was much happy and he was given more favours and blessings to him.

41. Meeting with king Aurangzeb Alamgir

Hazrat Sultan Bahu upon getting religious instruction and guidance as well
as with great grace he went again to Delhi central mosque upon wandering
in the bazaars of Delhi.it was Friday day and the mosque was full of
worshipers at that time. He has looked at the worshippers so they were
benefitted from his wealth of spiritualism. On that day king, Aurangzeb was
also busy there in the mosque with his courtiers. Due to too much rush in the
mosque, he was standing at the place of footwears and he has seen with a
special look at the worshippers from there and due to this there was created
loud and cry in the mosque. There was the effect of his look on all persons
except Aurangzeb Alamgir, Qazi (judge) and police chief of the city, so then
Aurangzeb Alamgir told him that “ Oh pious person of Allah what is our sin
and what is our evil that we are being kept away from this grace. And you
have not paid any attention.”

Sultan Bahu told that “ We have paid attention equally to all and but there is
no effect upon all of you as your hearts are hard.”
Aurangzeb told that “ Oh Syed pay attention to our condition. And grant us
this great grace.” And Sultan Bahu told him that “ There are some of his
condition.” When Aurangzeb has asked about his condition then Sultan
Bahu told as follows.
“You and your sons do not have concessions to our sons and persons in the
matter of worldly wealth and money. And do not come to our house. So that
from your worldly wealth our family members may involve problems and
troubles of the world and leave the right path.”
Aurangzeb Alamgir said that “ I accept all these conditions and I agree that
my and my family members who will not disturb you or your sons.” Then
Sultan Bahu has paid his special attention to Aurangzeb Alamgir and given
him special favour. Afterward when he began to move from there then
Aurangzeb Alamgir has requested him to pay something more. He was
while standing there compiled and dictated his book Kitab Aurangzeb Shahi
and which was written by royal clerks in the mosque at the same time. And
they have kept this book of his discourses with them as memorable with
them.

42.Perfection of Hindu Jogies (ascetic )and Sanyasi ( ascetic) persons

Sultan Bahu was busy in the search of the aim of reality for a period of 30
years approximately. And in the search of his spiritual master, he went from
Shorkot to Baghdad (name of the village of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi.)
and from Baghdad, he went to Delhi journey. In Delhi, he was benefitted
from his grand spiritual master Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi, and then he
comes back to Shorkot and he sat on the throne of teaching and guidance,
and due to his spiritual favours and blessing a large number of the people
were benefitted. Upon getting favour from Hazrat Abdul Rahman Quaderi
his condition of uneasiness was increased very much. And this condition of
him which was taken him into jungle, deserted and mountains. And he has
inspired knowledge with him. His tourism and traveling limited up to areas
of the Indian sub-continent. And during this period he was passed away

from a large number of observations and experiences. And due to his favour
a large number of the Hindu Jogies (ascetic ) and Sanyasi ( ascetic) persons
and who came out from their false thinking. And they left over their infidel
dresses. And due to his look of kindness, they have accepted faith in one
God. And they have passed over stages of spiritualism and they have
reached the status of Abdal (an order of saints).

43.The effect of his look of chemical action

Once Sultan Bahu went towards Dera Ghazi Khan along with some darwesh
persons. On the way, there was one village Chabri near the river Sindh. And
in that village there was one grave of Hazrat Ghiyas Uddin Taigh Baran and
who was well known holy person of the revelation and miracles. When he
has reached the place it was a time of prayer of Chast (mid-morning). The
darwesh companions have requested him “If there will be permitted from his
side then they can prepare bread in the village.”” And he has given them
permission and he himself went into one women’s house and that woman
who was a pious personality and who used to do service of the darwesh
persons. His companions along with that woman started preparation for
making bread. That woman has one small milk-feeding girl who was in the
cradle. By chance, she was waking up at that time and she began weeping.
When her mother was busy with the work in the house. At that time that
woman could not go near the girl by leaving work. And she told by sitting
there to Sultan Bahu “ Baba move the cradle so that she can sleep silently so
that I can do my work in a satisfactory way.”
Sultan Bahu began moving the cradle of the girl slowly and he began saying
Allah Hu, Allah Hu and upon hearing this voice the girl was become silent
and slept in the cradle.
When that woman was free from the work of preparation of bread then she
told him that “Baba thanks for you and because of you my girl slept and I
have well done my all work.”

Then he told her that “ Not only we move the cradle of the girl but also we
have moved your girl and has given her such an attempt and for such there
will be no less in it by the time of day of judgment. But there will be an
increase in it.”
When that woman heard the order of Sultan Bahu then there was the effect
of it upon her then she began saying Allah Hu, Allah Hu she was fallen on
the foot of Sultan Bahu. Upon this event, he was started on his journey. And
due to the effect of his look of chemical action, there was undergone a
radical change in that small milk feeding girl. And when she has grown up
then she was well known as Hazrat Fatima.
Hazrat Fatima belonged to the Balochi tribe of Matsui. And her grave is
there in Khan village. Her grave in Khan village is famous even today for
the fulfillment of the desires and wishes of the persons who visit his grave.
And where many thousand visitors come there and will get spiritual favours
and blessing.

44. Having a new look

Once Sultan Bahu went toward the Daman Kho Maghrabai Jabal Asad
region and in that place he has seen one boy there
and who was grazing the animals. When there was fall of his one look on
him then he has forgotten the grazing of the animals. And he began dancing
around him in the madness style. And when he has was looked at him the
second time then he became unconscious. When he has re-started his
journey from there and he has heard the sound of somebody behind
him.When he has seen that the boy was coming behind him silently. He told
him that “ Go and do your work.”The boy told him that “ Your honour what
is there my work .?” Sultan Bahu told him that “You graze your animals and
after that you see what will be happen for your animals.?” The boy told him
that “ Your honour the people of animals will take care of them.” He was
trying to understand him very much but he was determined on his decision
and he was refused to return back from his presence.” He has taken with
him and went toward the north mountain side. And his name was Khatran.
And afterward, he became his famous caliphate. And he was become well
known with the name of the Hazrat Sultan Norang.

45. The bulls began plowing in the field automatically

There was prevailed such condition upon Sultan Bahu that free from the
thinking of the world he was engaged in the tour and traveling of the world.
In those days he was purchased two times a pair of two bulls for the work of
plowing in the field. In the field, he himself used to be busy in the
remembrance of Allah and the bulls began plowing in the field
automatically. When the crop will be ready soon then he left the crop and
bulls and he went in an unknown direction.
46. By his one look he sent him to the place of omnipresent
Hazrat Sultan Bahu went to travel and tourism of Cholistan. And he was
looked from far that one person was in the jungle tying his woods bundles
there. And by travel, he was reached very far. And when he came back on
the same way after a long period of time. And still, he was far away at that
place, and then he was stood there for a long period of time. The darwesh
person told him that “ Your honour you are standing here for a long period
of time and what is the reason in this matter.?” And he told that “At this
place, there is the tomb of a holy person or his soul. And from it, light is
reaching toward the sky.”
Upon seeing this he began reaching toward the light and when he was
reached near the place and he was found one person in the condition of the
unconscious. And there was a bundle of wood near him. And when he was
put his hand on his head then that person came back in normal condition
after some time. And he has asked him “What is your condition.?” And he
was told that “ Yesterday you were going from this way and I have seen you
and after this, there was no news with me.” When he has heard his talking
than by his one look he was sent to him to the place omnipresent.
47.Break the fast with the graces of Almighty Allah
Once Sultan Bahu was passed into the jungles of the northern mountain and
he was reached in the fertile valley. And it is known as Kalhar valley. Upon
seeing its greenery and fertility then there was prevailed upon him condition
of the passion upon him. And upon him, this condition prevailed for three
days and three nights. This area was an uninhabited and deserted place.
There was no facility for food and drinking water. Hazrat Nourang was with
him and who was in the beginning state of the mystical exercise and

endeavours. And he could not bear the difficulty of the hunger and water.
And in the worrying condition, he went into the presence of Sultan Bahu and
he told him that” Hunger hunger thirstiness thriftiness.”
Sultan Bahu was heard his request and seen him by upholding his head from
meditation and told him “ What is matter my son.?” And Hazrat Navrang in
worrying condition told him that “ Your honour now the condition of hunger
and thirstiness is out of my control.” And Sultan Bahu while smiling said as
follows.
“Barat Ashiqan Par Shaq Ahu.”
When these words came upon the holy tongue of Sultan Bahu then at that
time one deer came from one side of the mountain and upon it, there was a
tray of food and on its neck, there was a hanging water bottle. And Sultan
Bahu told Hazrat Navrang as follows.
“Break the fast with graces of Almighty Allah.”
Upon saying this he himself was broken his fast, as well as Hazrat Navrang,
broke his fast.

48. I have seen the strange thing that the food of lovers was there on the
horn of the deers.
Hazrat Navrang was in the service of Sultan Bahu for a period of 30 years.
And in every journey, he did service to him. And at last, he was found his
destination. And upon obtaining place of loveliness he has received
caliphate from Sultan Bahu. He was told about Hazrat Navrang as follows.
“ Where Awan was reached there was also reached
Khatran.”
The meaning and interpretation of the above phrase are that on the position
where Sultan Bahu was reached and at the same place he was able to help
him and send Navrang at the same place of higher level.” And Hazrat
Navrang has said one couplet in which he has mentioned his spiritual
master’s miracle and the couplet’s translation and interpretation is as
follows.
“ Oh, Shaikh Bahu I have seen a strange thing in which there was the food
of the lover was there on horns of the deer.”

49. There will be no end of indigence of prophet Mohammed in your

family
Hazrat Sultan Bahu went to Bhakar and he went to travel and tourism of the
surrounding areas and he went lonely out of the city. And at that time Hazrat
Navrang was with him there and first of all, he went outside of Bhakar on
the eastern side in the ground of Chaval on the deserted hill place. When he
was sat there but immediately he was stood from there and he said that “
Hameed get down from here as it seems this is a place of the cruel person.”
Afterward, he slept on the sands while putting his head on the lap of the
Hazrat Navrang. And he has taken rest for one part of the day. And for this,
there was dust which was spread on his whole body. And there was feeling
in the heart of Hazrat Navrang that “If there will be worldly health with him
then he will provide bedding of satin and velvet for him. As he is poor so for
this reason there was a spread of sand upon my spiritual body. And by this
time he was uplifted his head and he said that “ Hameed what did you
thought in this matter?.” Then Hazrat was told him his desire.” So he asked
him to close his eyes.”
When Hazrat Hameed has closed his eyes then what he has seen that he is
standing in one garden. And there is a meeting on the floor of brocade in
which one beautiful woman with framed have studded jewels and with silk
dress is sitting there and she was paying attention to Hazrat Hameed and she
told him to marry her. Hazrat Hameed told her by a sign that this is a place
of respect and I am in service of my spiritual master. You do not come near
to me and go far from here. When Hazrat Hameed has opened his eyes then
Sultan Bahu told him “What you have seen.?”
Sultan Hameed told him what he has seen by him.? And Sultan Bahu told
him that “ You were complaining and sad for not having worldly wealth
with you. Whatever you have seen was the world. So then why you have not
accepted it.? And if you accept worldly wealth then it will not be finished
forever from your house.”
Hazrat Sultan Hameed told him “ My master I am desiring from Almighty
Allah light of intimate knowledge of God and I do not need worldly wealth
and money.”

When Sultan Bahu heard talk of the Hazrat Hameed then he told that “There
will be no end of indigency of prophet Mohammed in your family.”

50. The lamp of light of the love of the realty

Sultan Bahu said that “Almighty of Allah is not having any partner and he is
found in every direction. And his existence is found by the eyes of the
manifest. And for it, there is require eyes of innermost in this matter. And
due to perfect spiritual master the lamp of light of the love of reality will be
kindled inside of the student. When a student will be involved in love with
reality then he will become careless from the world. And then his position
will become Fana Fillah (annihilation in Allah). Annihilation in Allah. This
is the final stage on the Journey of Return to Allah. The being of the lover is
annihilated and absorbed into the being of the Beloved. From here onwards
there is endless traveling with the infinite unfolding of knowledge from the
essence itself. And a student of the mystic way when will be in such
condition of observation of reality then he will lose his consciousness in this
matter.”
