2. Specific Objective

(B.B.A) degree requirement under the Faculty of Department of Business Administration, East
West University.

Specific Objective

This study emphasizes on following aspects:

 Giving a detail overview of the insights of B-Trac Technologies

 Knowing about product, customers, competitors, suppliers
 Presenting the financial analysis of B-trac Technologies in current years
 Overview and mechanism of all concerns of Bangla Trac Group
Scope of the Report

The main intention of the study is to understand overview of B-trac Technologies and all the

concerns of Bangla Trac Group. This study is related with the entire Bangla Trac group
especially B-trac technologies Ltd as I was provided an opportunity to work in B-Trac
Technologies.
Methodology

The study is conducted in a systematic procedure starting from selection of the topic to final

report preparation. The integral part was to identify and collect data; they were classified,

analyzed, interpreted, and presented in a systematic manner to find the vital points. The overall

process of methodology followed in the study is explained further.

Selection of the topic:

My supervisor of university assigned the topic of the study. Before the topic was assigned it was
thoroughly discussed so that, a well-organized internship report can be prepared.

Sources of data:

1. Primary sources
2. Secondary Sources
 Internal Sources
 External Sources

Primary Sources:

Primary data is derived from the practical deskwork. I get many information by asking
question from employees

Secondary Sources:

1. Internal Sources: Different documents provided by concerned officers and

different circulars, manuals, and audit files of the organization.
2. External Sources: Different websites and facebook pages related to the other concerns
and online resources.

Final Report Preparation:

The final report is prepared after some valuable suggestions and my honorable advisor gave

corrections.
Limitations

In making this report, I faced many limitations. At first, collecting information from various
departments in not possible because of sitting place of employees of different departments. Then
they have a warehouse which is remote from the corporate office. So, I can’t gather information
related with warehouse. Their HR department have a remote sitting place. That’s why I can’t get
proper employee related information. Secondly, all of concerns of Bangla Trac Group offices are
scattered. In this reason, I can’t get any raw information. There is a lacking of information in
online about B-Trac Technologies Ltd and Bangla Trac Group. Another problem was time
constraint. In case of research the sample size was quite small as it was not possible to analyze
large sample due to time constraint. The duration of my

work was only three months. But this period of time is not enough for a complete and clear
study. It is because of the limitation of information some assumptions were made. So there may
be some personal mistakes in the report. Although there were many limitations I tried to give my
best effort to furnish the report.

Value-Added Distributor

Btrac is a value-added distributor of many global technology giant. Value added distributor is
new term in business world. For easy customer service, logistics, spreading business global
companies are now relying on value added distributor. It’s not as same as general distributor.
What’s the difference between general distributor and value added distributor, value of value
added distributor and their benifits are being described:

The definition of VAD(Value Added Distributors)

Distributors operate in between the vendors and the rest of the market. Usually, they acquire
products in volumes from vendors with the aim to sell the technology in bulk. Basically,
distributors supply the technology to various sales channels and spread the sales across among
reseller companies serving and costumers.

VADs are a new generation of distributors. They provide services and competencies to channel
partners — also known as reseller networks — selling and marketing the vendor products.
Compared to distributors, VADs provide additional service and support on top of the product
supply.

VADs commonly offer resellers their product expertise, technical support, and competitive
prices. On the other hand, distributors mainly handle the overall volume of all technology
transactions with a goal to only provide the product to resellers. (Alhambra)

The Value of Value-Added Distributors

VADs are vital components to ensure success with any new technology. With the right VAD
partner, coupled with proven sales and marketing strategies, innovative product vendors can
reach their target consumers and profits.

It is the same with other technology products in the market. The era of single-channel or direct
sales has long been gone; many sales funnels are slowly transitioning to multi-vendor business
models. Moreover, multi-disciplinary environments do much more than maintain IT functions.
(Alhambra)

Benefits of Value-Added Distributor

According to (Heller, 2020, p. 1),” If you’re like most distributors, you already provide several
value-added services at no cost to your customers. But have you analyzed the cost and value
of those services? Chances are, you need to get more intentional about delivering, marketing
and monetizing them.”
Benefits:

1. Get Multiple Services at one place

2. Wide Range of Options

3. Save time

4. Get Complete Solution

5. Empower and educate customers

6. Receive more attention

7. Low upfront cost

8. Established Customer Relationship

9.Scalable Model
