Door Operation (Upright Models) Revco upright freczer models are equipped with an advanced Cayolate assembly specifically designed for ult-low Aemperatre freezer. Move the key into the open pastion by rotating it countex- elockwise. 3, Grasp the lotch handle (preferably with your lft hand) and put it toward yourself unil the latch disengnges from the cabinet stke. 4, Keep pulling by the latch handle or the integrated door 64.2 Closing the Door Note thatthe latch does not selengage automatically when you close the door. You must rotate the latch into the apen position fist. 1. Grasp the latch handle (preferably with your left hand) and pill ittoward yourself, rotating the latch into the open position 2. Replace the padlock if you are using one. 65 Pressure Equalization Port ‘When an upright ultra-low temperature freezer door is opened, room temperature ar rushes into the storage compartment When the doors closed, the fixed volumes of aris cooled rapidly. Although the port is designed to self-deftost, excessive frost accumulation in the bottom ofthe chamber could eventually restrict ar low. Figure 2 illustrates the Reveo ima 1 Chest snd Upright Freezer contol pane Note: Figure 2 shows all possible functions. These functions vary depending on the model and options, You may not ‘have all ofthe functions an your equipment, Ble models ‘do not include the Check Fuse indicator ligh (6) or he Power Boos light (23) as these models donot came standard with these options. Likewise, only Ulina It ‘models wil include the Ser Point Security fear (24), ife-Guard Alert indicator light (5), andthe Extreme “Ambient Alert indicator light (16). The CO, oF LN, ‘Backup System lights (20,21, 2) represent status indicators fora built-in CO, oF LN backup system, which i optional on Utina I, Ultina or Bite models. 1. Thnce position keyed Power On Switch, 2, Power On Indicator. This indicator lights when power is ‘connected tothe freezer. 4. Temperature Fllure Indicator. ‘This indicator lights when the freezer temperature deviates ether above or below the alarm. temperature settings. 4, Power Failure Indicator. This indicator lights when there isa power failure to the freezer (efer to Section 10 on page 11). 5. Life-Guard Alest Indicator (Ultima Il Models only) This Indicator lights when the firs stage compressor has gone into ‘cautionary state of operation to help prevent fllure. 6. Check Fuse Light (Uliima I and Ultima Models only) This indicator ights when the surge protector onthe main electronic panel i blown by a power surge (refer to Section 10 on page 11), um Test Pad. This indicator lights when the temperature display window is showing the cabinet temperature (refer to Section 72.1 on page 5). 13, Digital Temperature Display Window. This window displays ‘chamber temperature, alan values, ele. depending on the ‘operating status ofthe freezer and the procedure being performed, 14, Decrement Pad (<7). Use this pad to decrease temperature values. 15, Inorement Pad (AA), Use this pad to increase temperature values. 16, Extreme Ambient Alet (Ultima 1! Models only). This indicator lights when the ambient temperature has exceeded the upper limit of the recommended operating range, Ifthe xtreme Aribient Alert is activated, the ambient ‘environment needs to be improved for proper function of the freezer. 17, Clean Fite Indicator. Th cooled condenser filter page 1), 18, Alarm Battery Low Indicator. This indicator tights when the charge on the alarm battery is low. Press this button 10 tlisplay the percent of ful battery charge in the digital display window. 19, Voltage Low Indicator, This indicator lights when incoming Tine voliage to the freezer is low, Press this pad to display the current line voltage inthe di lay window. 23, Power Boost Indicator (Uli It and Ukima Models ony). ‘Tis indicator lights when the Voltage Safeguard is active (efecto Section 10 on page 1). indicator lights when the ait ny (ofer to Section 10 0n| REVCO 4 ‘A, Alarm On'Set Point Security Indicator. This indicator lights ‘when the alarm is activated. Also indiates that Setpoint Securit i activated (Ultima II Models only), ‘The following indicators ar available only when the freezers equipped with the optional backup system (eefer to Section 72.3.4 on page 7). 20, Backup System Supply On Indicator 21, Backup System Bip Indicator 22, Backup System Battery Low Indicator 7.2 Start Up Refer to Section 7.1 and Figure 2.on page 4as you complete the following procedures. 7.2.1 Turning the Power On ‘To siart up the Ulima 900, Ulima 700 and Blite 500 Series Freezers, complete the following steps: 1. Plug the freezer into the power outlet (refer to Setion 4.2.0n page 2) 2, Tum the Key switch tothe POWER ON position. The Power ‘On LED snd the Cabinet Temperature LED illuminate. Note: The alarm function isnot active at this tine. Refer 10 Section 52.3 for information about seting the alarms. In ‘addition, for Ulima Il units only, the Setpoint Security ill be deactivated in this Rey positon. 7.2.2 Setting the Cabinet Temperature ‘To set the cabinet temperature, complete the following se 1. Por Ultima T units, press nd hold the Conte Setpoint pad, 2. The Contol setpoint LED lights and the Cabinet ‘Temperature LED goes out 3, Press and hold to increase the temperature oF <7 0 decrease the temperature. The digital display scrolls through empecature settings 4, Release both pads when the digital temperature display window shows the correct setpoint valu. Note: Ifo keys are pressed within ten seconds, the temperature display reverts othe cabinet temperature. 7.2.3 Setting the Alarms ‘To set the cold alarm, complete the following steps: 1 For Ultima I units only, confizm thatthe key switch isa the Power On position (Setpoint Security disabled) 2, Press and hold the Cold Alarm Setpoint pad. The LED next to tis pad lights. The temperature display shows the Cold Alarm vave, 3 Press and hold 2. ot <7 to adjust the Cold Alarm Setpoint. 4, Release both pads when the digital temperature display window shows the corret setpoint value “To set the warm alarm, complete the following ste 1. This provides greater monitoring power by alerting the user if an alarm condition has ‘occurred daring periods when the freezer mus be left ‘unattended. The alarm conditions inconporating this feature ae: + Temperature Failure: Wart Alarm + Temperature Palore-Cold Alarm + Voltage Low + Power Failure + Life-Guard Alert (kina Tt + Exteme Ambient Atert Ukima I only) During any ofthese alarm conditions, the corresponding licator will lash quickly, approximately 90 tines per misute ‘the alarm condition then disappear, the flash rate will decrease to approximately 15 times per minute.
