1. What is "Floating License"?

Floating License (=‘shared’ license) of a software is understood as a licensing system in which several users can
share the right to use one software at different workplaces.

2. How to use Floating License

1. Buy a Floating License. Refer to the official software DMDI to find the official part number that you
request.
Example of floating license references:
• SOMMACCZZEPBZZ for SoMachine Motion V4 Floating License Floating
• ESECAPCZZEPBZZ for Machine Expert - Professional (100 seats) Floating license License
• ESETBSCZSTXBZZ for Machine Expet Twin - Builder - Machine (10 seats) Floating license Server
Note: when buying this reference, you need to indicate an email address. This must be a valid and
stable email address . The person behind this email address will be the owner and admininstrator of
the Floating license
2. Install the special Floating License Manager on one accessible computer of the End User (or OEM).
This computer will be the Floating License Server and will distribute the license to all other
employees.

3. Activate the Floating License entitlement ID on the Floating License Manager

4. Connect Schneider Electric License Manager to Floating License Manager ( on each client computer)
