KC97 (updated edition) cold shrink tube are designed for weatherproofing
KC97
protection on cell site transmission line, comprising connections between (updated edition)

jumper cable and RF devices such as RRU/RRH, Antenna, Combiner etc., Cold Shrink Tube
through connectors of 7/16 DIN, N type or 4.3-10,or AISG cable to RET.
Multi-Layers
Comparing with conventional tape, the cold shrink tube is easy and fast

installation (15-30 seconds), conveniently mounting in vertical and horizontal

directions, uniform quality and IPX8 performance not effected by workmanship.

Shelf Life

KC97 (updated edition) cold shrink tube have a 2-year shelf life from date of manufacture when stored in the

range of 10°C to 28°C temperature and <75% relative humidity.

Installation

Step 1：Wrap the cold shrink tube with mastic around all jumpers in sequence before installing the connectors.

Step 2: Tighten the connectors of all jumpers with specified torque according to jumper installation

instructions. All the jumpers should be installed and fixed before the installation of cold shrink tube.

Attention:
Do not rotate the adjacent connectors of a connector that has been wrapped with a cold shrink tube
with mastic. Unless the tube has been protected well in advance, Otherwise, the cold shrink tube with
mastic may be damaged.

Step 3: Install cold shrink tube with mastic.

3-1 Push the cold tube to the end of connectors and gently pull out the support strip along the jumper.

(unwind the strip around the jumper)

Attention:
When installing the cold shrink tube, do not wrap the screw in the flange, or it will easily lead to the
waterproof failure.

3-2 Push the cold shrink tube to the end of the connector while pulling the support strip until the tube

shrinks and secures the connector. Do not push or pull the tube after the tube shrinks. Otherwise, shrinkage

of the tube may deteriorate, or the tube may be damaged.

Note: Never push

or pull the cold
shrink tube after
it has shrunk
around the end of
the connector.

3-3 Pull out the support strip along the direction indicated by the arrow. If the support strip fails to be

removed smoothly, rotate it around the jumper while pulling it out slowly. Never pull the support strip forcibly.

Note: Ensure that the

tube around the end of
connectors and that the
most distance between
the end of tube and the
connector end is less
than 5mm.

Step 4: After the installation of cold shrink tube with mastic, press and hold the cold shrink tube by hand,

especially the parts with mastic, repeat 3 to 5 times to ensure the mastic attached on the jumper completely.

Step 5: Repeat step 3 and 4 to install cold shrink tubes on other Jumpers.
