Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615/A615M, Grade 60 and/or SNI 8307:2016 uncoated deformed bars, unless noted otherwise on design drawings. ‘Where specified on design drawings, plain (undeformed) reinforcing steel bars shall conform to ASTM A615/A615M, Grade 60 and/or SNI 8307:2016, Where specified on design drawings, high-strength reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615/A615M, Grade 75 and/or SNI 8307:2016 uncoated deformed bars. Where welding of reinforcing steel is specified on design drawings, reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A706/A706M. Certified mill test reports, showing chemical and physical analysis for every size and heat of reinforcing steel shall be submitted in a Manufacturing Record Data Book at the time of completion of the project. Material test reports shall be made available to OWNER during the course of the project, if requested. Welded Wire Reinforcement Welded wire reinforcement shall conform to ASTM A1064/A1064M. Bar Supports and Accessories Bar supports and accessories shall conform to the requirements of CRSI 405, Tie wire shall be 16 gauge (1.3 mm) black annealed wire as a minimum The size and shape of bar supports shall be selected so that the bar is maintained in proper position with minimal movement during concrete placement. When requested, detail and placement drawings shall be submitted to OWNER's Engineer for approval prior to fabrication. The total weight of each bar size and the total weight of reinforcing steel shall be shown on all drawings. ‘Storage and Handling Reinforcing steel shall be stored on platforms, skids or other suitable supports clear of the ground and protected from oil or other deleterious materials before and after fabrication. Reinforcing steel shall be free of oil, dirt, loose mill scale, or coatings that reduce or destroy bond. Fabrication Reinforcing steel shall be fabricated accurately to the dimensions shown on the design drawings, within the tolerances stipulated in ACI SP-66. Bars shall be bent cold, with bend dimensions conforming to ACI SP-66, and 26070-100-D0-0000-J1001, Structural - Concrete Standard Drawing, General Notes and Abbreviations, Welded wire reinforcement shall be furished in flat sheets unless prior approval is obtained from OWNER, ‘All bundles shall be clearly marked in accordance with section 3.4.1 and erection drawings shall be furnished clearly showing the location of all pieces for ease of placement. The quantity, grade, size, piece mark, and suitable identification shall be shown on the tag to allow checking, sorting, and placing of the bars. Each bundle of flat sheets of welded wire reinforcement shall be tagged with a ‘weatherproof tag after fabrication. The piece mark, quantity, style designation, width, and length shall be shown on the tag, Weatherproof tags shall remain legible for at least one year, when stored outside. Welding Reinforcement shall not be welded, except where shown on the design drawings or with prior approval from OWNER's Engineer. When reinforcement is welded, weldable reinforcing steel shall be used, as specified in Section 2.1.4 of this specification. Welding of reinforcing bars shall conform to AWS D1.4/D1.4M. Approval of the welding procedures, procedure qualification records, welding inspection procedures, and weld material control procedures shall be obtained from OWNER's Engineer.
