EAR TRAINING
FOR BASSISTS
introduction Thank you so much for purchasing this little course! I know,
ear training isn’t the most popular and flashy subject of them
all. But in the end this will open the whole universe of music
to you. Trust me on this one.

Once you’re able to play the notes that you’re

hearing, you can play any song you like.

YOU DON’T NEED PERFECT PITCH

You don’t need perfect pitch to be able to hear a bassline and then play
it. As with everything else all you need is lots of practice.
Be patient with yourself when you’re just starting out. This will take a
reeeaaally long time, I’ll tell you that. But it will pay out a lot.

START SIMPLE

Start with the first few folders and tracks even

though you may be a little bit further down the
road. Take it easy. A little bit of repetition never
hurts. You got lots of time to practice this.

SCHEDULING YOUR EAR TRAINING

Make ear training a regular thing! Incorporate it into your practice

schedule and don’t miss it! Ear training is one of the most important skills
that you can develop as a musician in my opinion. Don’t have a practi-
ce schedule? make one! I have a separate digital product on how to
set up a practice schedule. It is as affordable as this course. Check it out.

EAR TRAINING
FOR BASSISTS
in practice

Let’s jump right into it: HOW IT WORKS

You’ll find hundreds of tracks with recorded notes and basslines in this
folder. These tracks are designed to incrementally increase the level of
difficulty. Go take a listen to some of them so you get the idea.

THE KEY
OF THIS LISTEN TO THE TRACKS AND PLAY WHAT YOU HEAR.

EXERCISE
Play along to the tracks afterwards and/or write down the notes
(for more advanced musicians). By writing the notes down you’ll even
learn to read and write sheet music wich is always a good idea!

These tracks are designed to have nothing else than a drum and a bass
track. This way you can really zone in on what the bass is playing. In
music it may be a little different and there may be lots of instruments
playing simultaneously. But by practicing to listen to the bass, you’ll be
able to zone in on the bass in music as well.

GOT IT?
GREAT!
Now take the first step and listen to the first groove
And remember: Have Fun! Don’t stress it. It’s not a competition. It’s not a
must. You do this for yourself. You do this to become a better musician.
