Susie Hards 138 Argyle Road Ealing London W13 8ER 07950 639492 For the attention of HR I am writing

today to make a formal complaint about both of the managers on the Home SOS call floor, David Payne and Karl Poulton. I will try to outline in as much detail as I can the reasons for this in this letter. David Payne: David would complain and moan about staff members as well as his co-managers. He openly referred to Elana as the lazy one and repeatedly told me, in my first few weeks with the company not to trust her, that she had no idea about the job and that I should not go to her with problems/questions. Quite often he and Karl Poulton would have open conversations, on the call floor about the quality of her work and her worth to the company. On an evening out for drinks with him, Karl Poulton and other staff members, he told the whole group that Debbie (the most senior member of management) was a sex toy tester and that she had a website devoted to this. He was often found making very explicit sexual comments about an employee from Simplify Digital (on the opposite side of the call floor), who I have since found out now works for Marsh. While on drinks out with him (at least twice) we could call each other names in jest, such as the names that I called him on facebook. He had no problem with it then, and I do not understand why he is using this against me now. Karl Poulton: Karl comes in, openly admitting that he is in a mood and that people should not talk to him, regardless of weather or not it is about work. He talked about previous members of staff who he had sacked, making fun of them openly and on the call floor. He would often join in with David, calling Elana the lazy one and talking about how she was useless at her job. He would also talk about Dean (previous Home SOS manager), saying that he went missing because he was gay and that he was suicidal, laughing about his situation. He would snap at people when they asked questions about work related subjects. Karl made no effort to learn about the specialised software used on the campaign and so had numerous members of staff looking things up on the systems for him, while taking them off calls to do so. He would ask for cigarettes from staff members and make them feel guilty if they would not give them to him. I felt that if I did not give him a cigarette, he would go into one of his moods and my day at work would be made unbearable. I was told that when they were deciding who to let go, they would do this by looking at how many records were on their HR file. I have only one for lateness, and when this was presented to me there was a day on there that I wasn't even in for, it was my day off. I confronted Karl about this and he crossed it off the list. There are other members of staff with more on their records than I have. I have never been found to have my phone on, never been found eating on the call floor, have a noticeable progression with my QA scores and am usually on time. I have offered numerous times to work overtime and always log on early when needed. Because of this, I feel that me being let go, instead of others on the campaign. This is a list of events that I have witnessed and written in my diary: Tuesday 8th February Karl was bitching about Jerome and Azainia (You should have seen it when I sacked Jerome, he was crying like a bitch Azainia was the one that just wouldn't get the fuck out when I sacked her) Friday 18th February Karl said that you wouldn't know that Olu Mustapha (previous employee)

was pregnant as look at the size of her Monday 21st February Karl called Elana the lazy one and David said that she doesn't do her job properly Wednesday 23rd February Karl was talking about how Jerome was crying like a bitch when he was sacked and saying that Dean disappeared because he was gay and that he was suicidal and laughing about it with other staff members. Thursday 24th February I was told to fuck off as he was busy when asking for technical advice. Friday 25th February Karl again laughing about Jerome crying like a bitch when he was fired. Thursday 7th March Karl was laughing about Meron (previous employee) that she had a cheek buying him chocolates after she had put in a formal complaint about him with HR. There were plenty more incidents that I would have liked to have written down, but all our pens were taken away like we were children and so I could not keep a record of them. Many thanks for your time, Susie Hards
