12. When 1 is added to any number, we get the next number in the number
series.
Example: 3+1 = 4 - which is the number next to 3 in number series (3,4,5…)

13. When a number is added by itself, we get the same number as we get by
multiplying that number with two.
Example:
i. 2 + 2 = 4 is same as 2 × 2 = 4
ii. 5 + 5 = 10 is same as 5 × 2 = 10

14. On performing addition, we always a value greater but not smaller


Example: 2 + 4 = 6 ( 6 is greater than both 2 and 4 ).

i. 3 + 2 = 5.
ii. 8 + 1 = 9.
iii. 4 + 4 = 8.
iv. 1 + 2 = 3.
v. 6 + 1 = 7.
vi. 5 + 2 = 7.

Toffees with Shyam = 6
Total toffees = 2 + 6 = 8.

17. I am 7 years old.


After two years my age will be = 7 + 2 = 9 years.
