YASMIN AT WORK
YASMIN,ABDUL,KHALIF,YUSUF.
YASMIN and ABDUL a young man in his 20’s are at work wearing
work uniform and YUSUF a tall,well built man in his late
20’s is the boss
EXT,GARAGE,EARLY EVENING
A spoil lorry in the background and ABDUL removing a rim
from a tire in the background ,An Alto car being
[Link] a woman in her early 30’s dressed in ENGINE
CAR OIL STAINED MECHANIC PRONE slides out of under the car
as her customer KHALIF stands close to his [Link]
approaches Khalid as she wipes her hands with an OIL STAINED
PIECE OF CLOTH.

YASMIN
I have replaced the bolts and the
[Link] roads here really damage
cars.

KHALIF
You always do a good job in
servicing this my old car. (As he
reaches out for his wallet
smiling).

YASMIN
Thank you.(smiling.)
KHALIF
Today’s payment together with last
time’s balance. (As he hands her
3000 sh notes smiling )
YASMIN

Neighbor mocks YASMIN for being a mechanic

Yasmin walking home and stopping by a grocery shop owned by
a neighbor who is in her late 30’s and is always

vegetables and food items.

YASMIN

up sticks and a small kitchen. Yasmin is unlocking the
padlock to her small gate made out of one iron sheet and

YASMIN
Yasmin comes from work very tired and doesn’t find her

YASMIN’S HUSBAND COMES HOME

YASMIN,AHMED

Ahmed arrives home very late and demands a hot meal from
[Link] she was already asleep.
INT,YASMIN’ HOUSE,9:30PM

The floor covered with plastic carpet,the wall rounded with

[Link] one corner of the room bags are [Link]
extreme corner lies a a plastic chair and table and a 6 by 6
mattress that Yasmin is sleeping [Link] is deep

sleep.
YASMIN

Open the door.
Yasmin drugging herself to the door and opening [Link]

(commanding with his fingers)
Take this food away,I want it hot
from the fire.
Yasmin quickly takes the tray of food from the table and

he is pulling out a stick and [Link] the 3rd mat seated
is MOHAMED and in front of him is a clear polythene bag with
mogoka and a glass of tea and a bottle of frozen water as he
is chewing [Link] opens his energy drink and sips while
trying to close it....

exchange the money ahmed rivers the customer to yasmiines
garage. and says how good she is at her work. he goes back
to puting some parts on the shelfs.

Yasmine and Ahmed have a baby and a happy at last.
