The process of emotional healing is a profound and transformative experience that

takes your whole being to another level. Through inner exploration and self-reflection,

we embark on a journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery. This type of healing

comes with acknowledgment, self-compassion, acceptance, and transformation. On the

other hand, it's not always butterflies and rainbows, this journey is a light at the end of

the tunnel type of experience.

Acknowledging the pain we carry within is the first step in the process of emotional

healing. By recognizing our emotions, and finding the root of where they stem from, we

create a space for healing to begin. Finding these core traumas can be very saddening

and may take you to places you're not yet ready to revisit. This step involves

self-awareness and the willingness to confront our vulnerabilities and be open to

change for the better. Through this act of acknowledgment, your able to lay the

foundation for the journey of emotional healing to begin. However this needs to be done

with space from everyday distractions, so isolation is needed. Like a lotus flower coming

up from the mud with no trace of it on you. Reopening wounds is necessary, it's like

getting an infection inside an already stitched-up scar. Having to go back in to remove

the infection is like going back into yourself and removing the trauma you had stored

that was unhealed.

Once we acknowledge our pain, cultivating self-compassion and acceptance is the

next step. This entails embracing our emotions without judgment or self-criticism. As

you begin to release what exactly needs healing you tend to start to pick at yourself for

your past mistakes. Which happened to be one of the hardest parts of the journey.

Being your biggest critic is something you have to talk yourself out of daily. By

extending kindness and understanding towards ourselves, we create a nurturing

environment for healing to take place. Through self-compassion, we learn to embrace

our imperfections and accept ourselves for who we are and where we are in life

currently. We begin to forgive ourselves for our past errors and start to come up with

better ways to go about things, so we have less of them come up. Furthermore, we are

able to embody inner growth, resilience, and coping mechanisms for this journey of

emotional healing.

The final step of emotional healing is the actual healing and transformation of our

emotional wounds. Taking a deeper look into our trauma can involve various practices

such as therapy, mindfulness, journaling, meditation, or engaging in any creative outlet.

By actively engaging in these healing customs, we release emotional burdens, and gain

clarity, and a sense of empowerment. Similarly, it can feel like training for a surfing

competition, riding the waves, is like riding out the waves of emotions going through

within yourself. Nailing every wave without wiping it out is a sense of accomplishment in

the healing journey. Through this transformative process, we emerge stronger, wiser,

and more connected to our authentic selves. It’s hard to find the right words or emotions
during the transformation stage, but sitting with yourself in silence or finding music with

the right lyrics, can help tremendously.

Nevertheless, the journey of emotional healing is a deeply personal and transformative

process. This journey extends beyond physical actions and requires steps to go inward.

Being able to go through this entire healing journey and come out of it better is a rush in

itself. With that being said, It can feel like going on your first roller coaster ride. Not

expecting all the whiplash of emotions, and being completely terrified at first. You come

out of the ride with such a rush of accomplishment, proud of yourself for going on and

having the ability to say you did it and enjoyed every second of it, knowing that you

were brave enough to enter. By acknowledging our pain, cultivating self-compassion

and acceptance, and actively engaging in healing practices, we become our bravest

selves, we embark on a path of growth and inner peace. Embrace the art of emotional

healing, and allow yourself to experience the transformative power that lies within.
