2.) Chief Synoptic Conditions: -
❖The Monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Sri Ganganagar, Hissar, Delhi, Barabanki,
Dehri, Asansol, and thence southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal and extends upto 0.9 km above
mean sea level.
❖A fresh Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km
above mean sea level runs roughly along Longitude 70°E to the north of Latitude 30°N.
❖ The cyclonic circulation over east Bihar & neighbourhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level has
become less marked.
3.) Rainfall forecast for Next 2 Weeks: -
(i) Rainfall forecast for Week-1: (12th July 2024–18th July 2024): -
Very light to moderate rain very likely to occur at most places over the state. Rainfall activities
very likely to be below normal to normal over the state except southern part of West UP and
Central part of East UP where it is normal to above normal.
(ii) Rainfall forecast for week-2: (19th July 2024–25th July 2024): -
Light to moderate rain very likely to occur at most places over the state. Rainfall activities very
likely to be above normal to normal over the state.
5.) Temperature forecast for Next 2 Weeks: -
Week-1:
Minimum temperatures are likely to be normal over the state.
Maximum temperatures are likely to be normal over the East UP and above normal over the West
UP.
Week-2:
Minimum temperatures are likely to be normal over the state.
Maximum temperatures are likely to be normal over the state except southern part of East UP
where it is normal to above normal.
