In few sentences, can you tell us what your study is all about?

Our study is all about how sleep deprivation affects senior high school students’
learning capabilities and academic productivity. Because of the certain
irregular sleep patterns of senior high school students. By studying its impact, we can
develop better diagnostics to ease this circumstances.

What is your motivation for this study?


We based it off from the headline of philstar.com and study conducted by
toyong 2020, like more than 80% of teenager students were lacking sleep. But that is
not the case here, the case here is that, is it the same with the school setting of MMCZI?
Are students sleep-deprived? And does it affect their learning capabilities and academic
productivity? That’s why we are curious about it and conduct this study, Apart from that
, we also have personal reasons like majority of us, the researchers were experiencing it.

How will this study contribute to the body of knowledge?


This study can increase awareness about sleep deprivation affecting learning
capabilities and academic productivity in such a way that more researchers will be
interested in pursuing the same topic.
This research can help in providing a solution to those who are sleep deprived
because it provides informations highlighting the importance of sleep.
This study contributes to the expansion of knowledge about this topic. With that
being said, this can serve as a related study for future researchers who will explore the
same topic.

What is the significance of the study?


This research is of great significance in the field of health because it emphasizes
how much mitigated impact can lack of sleep brings. In addition, this will help certain
groups and organizations such as the community, school administrators, and so on in
the sense that it can serve as a basis for providing and implementing instructional
leadership guides in enhancing one's student learning capacity in studying.

Did you bridge any gap from your study?


Long-term Effects: Most studies on sleep deprivation and cognition have focused
on short-term effects. There is a need for longitudinal studies that examine the long-
term impact of chronic sleep deprivation on learning and academic performance. This
would provide a better understanding of the cumulative effects of sleep deprivation
over time.

Learning Processes: Further research is needed to investigate how sleep


deprivation affects different learning processes, such as encoding, consolidation, and
retrieval of information. Understanding the specific mechanisms through which sleep
deprivation impairs learning can inform the development of targeted interventions to
mitigate its negative effects.

Limitations that we face is that we lack resources like lack of money or
equipment for procedures that can give us the best data. And we also face
environmental factors and human errors that slows the pace of conducting this study
