INTRODUCTION The Marketing programme is designed to produce graduates who have in-depth knowledge of marketing management and are capable to bring out excellent ideas especially in the business environment. INTRODUCTION The programme offered is based on the consideration and research of related programmes offered by top universities in countries such as Great Britain, Canada, Australia and the United States of America. The aim is to produce skillful graduates who are knowledgeable in business and administration, and are competent in the business arena and Malaysian administrative environment. This programme is continuously improved and monitored to meet the industrial requirements, and to cultivate graduates who are proficient in managing business and professionals who are able to embrace business theories and put them into practice. It is expected that these graduates will be able to identify and solve management problems either at local or global level.

Introduction Graduates from this program qualify to get a post in insurance companies and also in others sectors because risk management has become an important aspects in organizations. This opportunity exists because risk management aspects are crucial in the success and survival of the organization. For example, banking institution has to manage safety risk beside its traditional focus on financial risk. Medical sector on the other hand needs to manage its liability risk. Specifically, insurance industry offers a lot of career opportunities. Careers in insurance industry exist in insurance companies such as takaful, reinsurance companies, adjustor companies, broker companies and captive. Program Structure The structure of the Bachelor of Risk Management and Insurance (with Honours) focuses on the aspect of risk. In order to strengthen the structure, other aspects such as finance, insurance, marketing, banking, accounting, quantitative, occupational safety and health management and law are also included. Relevant computer software application are being used in several courses offered.
