As I know HIM

-Ankit Purohit There are times when you are down, when the things dont seem to work for you, when you want to be something but cannot be, when you find your dreams are flying past far beyond your reach. It is when you feel like a no one in the world of fierce competition. Similar was my condition when I was random browsing on my Career Launcher SIS (Student Information System) after scoringpathetically in my first mock CAT. Fighting my introvert self and not being able to decide what I wanted to do, I gave a sigh. A sigh not of relief, but pain; pain of the thought that struck me like a lightning- What if Im not able to succeed..?? - Am I going in the right direction..?? - Am I thinking too big for myself..?? - Should I take an easy way out..?? Should I conclude that I dont have it in me..?? Frustrated, I went back to the SIS where the words: DREAM IT! DO IT! caught my attention. It was a motivational session by Sreeni, the co-founder of Career Launcher, an IIM Bangalore alumnus, and blah blah..!! Leave aside the mans profile; I was awestruck by his fabulous appearance. Curly hairs, a French beard, and a cheerful face that carried a dream in his placid eyes. Something I have always wanted to look like. Without giving a second thought about it, I registered myself for the Webinar of Dream it! Do it! which was scheduled for the next day afternoon at 2 pm, but the rest of my day was spent reading about Sreeni and watching his videos. I was badly waiting for the webinar. It began with some pedagogy about CAT and the life after a good CAT score. The video of Nirmal Kumar and his story of reaching IIM-A in spite of being physically challenged and from a vernacular medium school is far more inspiring than one can imagine. The man is currently the chairman of Nirmal G-Auto, his own company. The video of You Vs Yourself ignites the hidden gunpowder in you and makes you believe that youre worth it. Other videos about legends like those of Sachin Tendulkar, Michael Jordan, Pele, Lance Armstrong and many others were something which I was in sheer need of. After the webinar when I looked at the clock first time, I realized the session lasted for more than 4 hrs while there was no sign of fatigue- while I am notorious for not being able to take more than 50min. Trust me, Sreeni has the glue to hold u on until he wants. The experience of the webinar cannot be described in words and now that Sreeni is coming to BIT- which is quite unheard of- I was so excited that I was the first one to secure a BBC pass for myself. Now dont decide, get one for yourself and enjoy - flying with your wings wide open - a day in B-school with Sreenivasan R.
