Objectives of Academic Activity Students will learn about the various products of banks i.e. Deposit & Advances. The objective of the Assignment is as follow: a) To acquaint the students with rules & conceptual knowledge regarding deposits & advances. b) To imbibe the habit of comparative analysis of products. Topic Students are required to refer the key banking ratios from CAPITALINE Database to understand the performance of allotted banks. The student is also required to compare the various products offered (i.e. various features of deposits & advances) available at the two given banks so as to understand the market situation. Students are required to study the features of a particular products assigned to them and compare it with the features of substitute products offered by the other player so as to submit written report of their finding using SWOT analysis. Key components to be covered in Home work are as follows:1. Types of demand deposits offered. 2. Types of time deposits offered. 3. Classification of loans under productive and consumption loans category. 4. Differentiated interest rates offered to deposit holders with classification on the basis of age, residence status. 5. Types of Interest charged from customers on various loans: Fixed / Floating interest rates. 6. Nature of security offered and type of charge created. 7. Figure out a list of non core activities used by a bank to sustain itself in this competitive era. 8. Comment on CDR, IDR, Cash deposit ratio of both the banks. 9. Comment on the impact of hike/ fall in CRR, SLR ratio on banks financial performance.
