School Uniforms
As we begin the new year, it is also a good time for parents to go through your childs uniforms.
Make sure you are in complete compliance with our uniform policy. Refer to the Parent/student
handbook located under School Information on our web site. Clothing many not be ripped or torn.
Students not in compliance will receive an Uniform Notice slip that must be signed and returned.
Pants-Uniform pants only. Plain, solid, navy blue twill material (not faded).
Shirts-Only long/short sleeve polo shirts. No blouses/turtlenecks. REMEMBER LOGO SHIRT ON
WEDNESDAYS!
Socks/tights-only red, white, blue may be worn
RAMS Hoodies-gr. 6-8-May not be torn or ripped.
Fashion boots-Pants must be pulled over the boots, not tucked in.
All Spiritwear-may only be worn on Fridays

Volunteers for Catholic Schools Week-
We need many volunteers for a successful week. Please sign up on Dibs. Here is how you can help
1. Book Fair Volunteers -The Scholastic Book Fair is on January 26, 27, and 29th. We need volunteers to help set up the fair
Thursday morning. We are also in need of volunteers to help during the Lunch With a Loved One on Friday.
2. Coffee and Donuts-January 29th Help serve donuts, coffee, and juice. We need help after the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
masses.
3. Feed my Starving Children-We need many adults to help students with packaging food. This is a great experience for adults
and students.
4 Need students to help at mass on January 28 and 29-Students help with reading, carry offertory, and distribute bulletins. See
attached ier.

Box Tops for Education-
Thank you for clipping your Box Tops for Education. We received a check in the amount of $865.70. This is an easy fundraiser
that requires little effort. Please keep sending in. Last year we earned $2112 through Box Tops.
Mrs. Beth Hippen, middle school language arts teacher, is taking some time off to take care of a family member.! Please keep
her family in your prayers. We plan on seeing Mrs. Hippen during Catholic Schools Week.

Catholic Schools Week

We will have SHCS students participating in the Liturgy during the Masses on Saturday,
January 28 and Sunday, January 29. Students will distribute bulletins, bring up the gifts and do
the readings. Readers will practice with Miss Bursey that week. Note: Altar servers have been
scheduled.
Please indicate below how your child would like to be involved and which Mass you will
attend. Depending on the number of volunteers, we MAY NOT be able to use everyone.
Please sign and return to the school office by Friday, January 20.
Please wear your Mass uniform!
We thank everyone that would like to participate in the Liturgy for Catholic Schools Week.

The North Suburban Parochial School League has been a starting point for many successful high
school (& college) wrestlers. In its 20+ year existence, league alumni have earned over 400 high
school varsity wrestling letters, with well over 100 participating in the state high school individual and
team tournamentsover 150 individual state qualifiers and place winners, and several state
champions!

Starting in grade school is a great way to be introduced to the sport. No experience is necessary,
and many boys are naturally good at wrestling. More importantly
no wrestler has ever been cut from any high school wrestling team!!!
