I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, students are expected to be able to:
a. Understanding the Concept of Synthetic Motion: Explaining what synthetic motion is and how
motion in two dimensions can be represented by vectors.
b. Calculating Total Displacement: Using the Pythagorean theorem to calculate the total
displacement of a motion that occurs in two directions.
c. Calculating Total Velocity: Applying Pythagorean's theorem to calculate the total velocity of
an object moving in more than one direction.
d. Applying Concepts in Real Situations: Provide examples of the application of synthetic
movements in everyday life, such as the movement of vehicles, runners, or objects exposed to
the wind.
