CLASS XII ALS PROJECT TOPICS AND INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS:
● All the topics are related to the chapters in your course.
● You may choose to do the project individually or in pairs.
● Utilize the vacations to choose a topic and decide the type of project you would like to
research on.
● You may research briefly on the project.
● You may conduct an interview/survey/project study/conduct and document
interviews/case study/ write and enact a role play/ get a questionnaire filled and analyse
responses/comparative study/scrap book.

An exhaustive list of topics is mentioned below along with examples of projects that can be
done.

EXAMPLES
1. Interview/Podcast
a) Interview a government official on the current state of affairs in your locality/ city (lost spring)
b) Interview a diver/athlete ( deep water)
c) Interview a therapist/psychiatrist (third level)
e) Interview an acid attack survivor( on the face of it)
g) Interview a soldier or freedom fighter in your locality or city.(The enemy)
h) Interview your school principal or the counsellor to know the problems ( anxiety, stress, fear
etc) faced by students in the virtual platform ( The third level)

2. Survey
a) Collect data about types of fear people have in your locality and how they are trying to
overcome it. (deep water)
b) Collect data about covid survivors in your locality.
c) Conduct a survey and find the relevance of old age homes in the modern world.( My Mother
at Sixty six)
d) Survey related to gender issues - gender pay gap, disparity, campaigns promoting equality or
equity (any 1)
e) Environment Conservation at home and school - mapping carbon foot print, suggesting
eco-friendly measures that can be adopted, climate change, campaign against the meanace of
plastic
f) Importance of language - history of.a language, impact on linguistic minorities, disappearing
languages (the last lesson)
g) Role of theater/ media/yellow journalism in building one's personality,impact on mental health
(poets and pancakes)

3. One act play


a) One act play depicting importance of national language (the last lesson)
b) Kindness goes a long way to make someone’s life better (The rattrap)
Any other relevant topic connected to the chapters
4. Scrap book
a) India’s freedom struggle (Indigo)
b) Feminism (aunt jennifer’s tigers)
c) Environmental Conservation - climate change, preserving wildlife, campaigns to save the
environment (journey to the center of the earth)
