Lauren Turelli
The Chicago Tribune calls her terrific and a breath of fresh air. Lauren Turelli is a small businesswoman, a former teacher, a mother of three, and your Republican candidate for State Representative in Illinoiss 58th District. A Life-Long Member of Our Community
After graduating from Lake Forest High School, Lauren earned a BA from the University of Illinois. She went on to study international relations at the University of Cambridge and earned a masters degree th in education from DePaul before returning to the 58 District to begin a family of her own with her husband, Ken. Today, Lauren and her family live and work in Lake Forest, proudly raising her three sons in the same community that produced their parents.
Civic Leadership
Lauren has a proven record of giving back to that community, both inside and outside government. She currently serves on the Lake Forest Parks and Recreation board, and previously served five years as a ward chair and fundraising chair for the Lake Forest Caucus. Lauren also maintains an active political role as Chairwoman of the Lake County GOP and elected precinct committeewoman for West Deerfield Township. Further, Lauren dedicates her time to numerous charitable organizations. She is most proud of her tenure on the executive board of A Safe Place, during which Lauren helped raise funds and review budgets for a new transitional living space for victims of domestic violence. Lauren has also served with the Special Olympics, Partners in Education, and the University of Illinois Alumni Association, and has coached her sons AYSO soccer teams.
