10th November 2023

Dear Partner,

RE: Invitation to Tree Planting Activity in Commemoration of Tree Planting Holiday

I trust this letter finds you well. We are writing to extend a cordial invitation to your esteemed
organization to participate in a national tree planting activity scheduled for Monday, 13th, November
2023 following the declaration of a national special holiday by Hon. Kithure Kindiki, the Cabinet
Secretary of Interior and Administration of National Government. This commemoration aims to engage
the public across the country in a collective effort to combat the devastating effects of climate change.
Additionally, it aligns with the national goal of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2032, an ambitious
target aimed at safeguarding our environment for future generations.

As part of this nationwide endeavor, Mombasa County in partnership with other key stakeholders
including KFS, NEMA and the Ministry of Environment has committed to planting 100,000 mangrove
seedlings in Ganahola, Mikindani from 8:00 am. We are honored to announce that Hon. Kipchumba
Murkomen, the Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works in Kenya, will grace this
occasion as the chief guest for this significant event. His presence adds prestige to our collective efforts
and highlights the importance of this initiative in fostering environmental sustainability and addressing
the challenges posed by climate change.

We believe that your organization's involvement will not only contribute to the success of the tree-
planting activity but also showcase your commitment to environmental conservation specifically marine
conservation. This event provides a unique opportunity for your team to actively participate in a cause
that aligns with national interests and global environmental goals.

For more clarification, information, direction, and confirmation of attendance kindly respond to this
email or call Esther 0702129131. We look forward to your positive response and the collective success
of this tree-planting initiative.

Thank you for your attention and anticipated cooperation.

Sincerely,

Bosco J. Juma
