Hi Flava, Just a follow up from my last feedback email about being plastic kiwi's.

I noticed that your promoting chris browns music. The man has been convicted for assault, for beating his ex-girlfriend black & blue. A few of his songs are good, but to thrash the hell out of his music, of which t he result of, is our children put him up on a pedestal seems a bit cock-eye to s ay the least, & is a GROSS miss-use of radio as a media medium. Flava's lack of self-moderation is offensive to all of us, who have worked with youth at risk & seen the damage of domestic violence on kiwi families. We all know the record labels don't care about the fabric of our society, & the multitude of cases of domestic violence in our communities, not to mention we ha ve some of the highest rates of teenage suicide in the world. Again, your providing more evidence to support your plastic nature approach to o ur children & families & the promotion of suitable Hip-hop & RnB music to Kiwi f amilies. How many of you know of domestic violence in your own communities? Don't you people care about whats going on in our families? Can we please promote more of our own kiwi hip-hop & RnB artists?, with that sam e kind of full on support your giving Mr Brown, a convicted woman beater. You guys are failing our children as a radio station, whoever is choosing the pl aylists need to program in more kiwi hip-hop & RnB, & stop promoting woman bashe rs. It's not good you people, if you want community support then play music & promot e artists that provide our children with a healthy social image, we know our chi ldren are listening to the artists your promoting. The airways are public domain, no kiwi parent, wants to see profiteering off of corruption of our family values. I'm not saying, "stop playing his music", I am saying stop the over promotion, b y your DJ's, & the repeat play percentage of his music, it's over-kill. You targ et our children as listeners, becareful. Please don't take this email to heart, my background is in education, & working with youth at risk. I have done National level moderation for the NZQF & I have 15 years experience at that. The positive side for Flava, is that flava is a key stakeholder with our youths choice in entertainment & radio. THAT MEANS it's expected of you all to take more RESPONSIBILITY & include modera tion procedures in your track selection & playlists, & at the very least conside r the social impact of the artists & music you promote as an overall set of musi c, like all good DJ's should do. Please, to the DJ's, don't let this feedback effect your enthusiasm in your work "bring it", don't let the confidence levels drop, that's as important as playli sts, "it's just moderation, another day at the office, adjust & move on, no big deal. I say this because I don't want Flava's momentum to be hindered, I like what Fla

va's done & is doing. 88.6 does have this refinement in spades, maybe the DJ's are more mature, I'm no t sure. I was listening to Flava, today Friday 3rd Feb 2012 between 11am & 3pm. Concerned listener, Jonathan Hayward
