Notes1. Rates include (a) Lead up to 100 m for all materials unless otherwise specified. (b) Cost of all materials including cost of water. (c) All lifts for all materials. (d) Mixing of concrete in mixer. (e) Cost of curing. 2. 3. Lead for flagstones shall be measured from the nearest railway station or market place whichever is nearer. (a) Rates for concrete items are for metal other than black trap, basalt or granite. (b) Blasting charges for metal used for concrete items are payable as per item 514 for the quantity required vide Appendix- 1. (c) Extra rate for use of black trap, basalt or granite for concrete items shall be payable as per item 733. 4. The LDPE film, sealing compound and primer shall bear ISI Mark in accordance with Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks) Act 1952. The pre-cast slabs shall be casted at suitable centralised places using table vibrator and ensuring quality control of concrete and proper curing arrangement. The flexural strength of pre-cast slabs shall be tested in accordance with IS: 10646-1991. Flag stone lining may be done on canals carrying discharge below 3 cumec, if economically feasible. Provision of C.C M15 lining shall be done for canals having discharges 3.0 cumecs and less and depth of water less than 1.0 m . For canals having discharges more than 3.0 cumecs and water depth more than 1.0 m, C.C. 1:2:4 lining shall be provided. Measurements: (a) Dimensions shall be measured correct to the nearest cm. The area shall be calculated in sqm correct to two places of decimal and cubical contents in cum correct to two places of decimal. (b) No deductions shall be made for the following:(i) Volume occupied by reinforcement; and (ii) Opening up to 0.1 sqm in area; 10. The following Indian Standards may be referred to: -
