CASE STUDY
The focal problem that the residents are facing up is the situation of high
insanitation concentration. High insanitation-concentration is the result of an
incremental process of massive and ubiquitous accumulation of waste and excreta
(solid and liquid) on the immediate environment. It is a situation made possible by
a competing set of factors that include, among others, bad hygiene practices at
household and individual level and defective sewage and garbage collection and
disposal by communal authorities.
