As per NSW Ministry of Health Directive, the first member of nursing staff to take sick leave on a Morning or Afternoon slrift WILL NOT BE REPLACED. This applir:s to Morning and Afternoon shifits, 7 days a week.

Only once a second sick leave has been recei,red for the same shift, will the second staff member ONLY be replaced. Otherrrrise it is expected that the ward

will work down. Overtime will be considered by the Senior Nurse Manager on duty if a replacement cannot be provided by NRC for the second sick teave.
The above directive DOES NOT APPLY TO NTGHT SHIFT.

Applications for Study and Conference Leave vr,,ill not be supported by the DON until further notice. Should staff wish to attend sessions, the organisation reconxmends it be done so in the stalT member's own time. Staff concerns in relation to the abovementioned directive are welcomed by the Nursing Unit Manager and witl be escalaterl on your behalf accordingly.
