If you cooperate, we’ll ask the
prosecutor for leniency. You’ll be
looking at probation, counseling...
MAGGIE
But you’ll get to be a mother.

JENNY
START So if I incriminate myself, or my
husband, you’ll just let it go?
MAGGIE

We know you’re under a lot of
stress, Jenny. We just want to
help -- we want to find Lucia.
Jenny thinks, gives in. Here it goes...

My husband used to sell some stuff
on the side... to supplement our
income.

Drugs. But I asked him to stop
before Lucia was born. And he did,
at least for a while... But the
other day I found a stash of...
drugs. I was so mad, I flushed it
down the toilet.

It didn’t look like much to me --
apparently it was eighty grand
worth of fentanyl, and it was
fronted -- he hadn’t paid for it
yet.

So, his dealer took Lucia -- to
force Hugo to pay the money he
owes.
OA
Do you know the name of Hugo’s
dealer?
JENNY
No. Hugo didn’t talk about any of
that stuff with me.
OA
Did you ever see Hugo associate
with anyone connected to the Latin
Kings?
JENNY
The gang?
(off OA’s nod)
No.
MAGGIE
Where are the jewels that you
stole?
JENNY
I gave them to Hugo. He’s going to
give them to his dealer -- then
we’ll get Lucia back.
OA
Where is Hugo now?
JENNY
Look, I told you what’s going on.
MAGGIE
That’s not enough, Jenny. We need
to know where Hugo is, right now.
JENNY
He said no cops, under any
circumstances. They would get
Lucia killed. Just let him make
the drop. He’ll come through like
he always does.

cab.
Ian throws up the FOOTAGE on screens --

Cab number’s obscured. Is there
another angle?
Ian pulls up a clean shot of the cab number.

Hugo was dropped off.
Elise is already into it, on the phone.
ELISE
I’m on with the cab company.
