A recent teaser website, NextFrictionalGame.com, for Frictional Games has had fa ns up in arms.

When the website first emerged you could read the words Amnesia Something is emer ging over a blurred image, with a link that directed you to a Google map of China. The site has been updated since, unbarring the image which reveals a strange blo ody tunnel with a corpse hanging from the ceiling. Upon clicking on the image ne w Google Maps coordinates have been added, directing you to the Smith Tower in S eattle. Fans have discovered that the tower is the location of The Chinese Room , c ontaining donated furniture from the Empress of China. Also recently uncovered was an interactive feature of the site which granted use rs access to the name of the teaser image, fragment_ebola.jpg . After changing the lighting of the image, the letter code P F C I N C M I O I S G G became visible, b ut the exact meaning is still being debated. And now the creepy psychological horror title looks like it s getting a sequel. A teaser site, creatively called www.nextfrictionalgame.com has popped up, clear ly displaying the Amnesia name on top of a very blurry image with the words Somet hing is emerging hovering ominously below. Amnesia: The Dark Descent by Frictional Games was a great PC-only survival horro r romp, featuring some genuinely scary and unique gameplay. Puzzle-solving whils t trying not to go insane was an interesting mechanic, and the constant fear evo ked by the game's deep atmosphere made for a memorable experience. If you played through the game, and came out with clean pants, then you're no do ubt going to be pleased at the possibility of a new Amnesia title, suggested by the appearance of a new website. The site, with an address of www.nextfrictionalgame.com is about as sparse as yo u can get, with only the Amnesia logo and the text "Something is emerging..." Cl icking on the image takes you to Google Maps, centred on China. A look at the source code of the page reveals meta data including 3D game, survi val horror, first person, advanced physics and more, and there's a description t hat begins "Welcome to the next Frictional game site..." So, it seems that Amnesia 2 is on its way, and it'll likely involve the same sty le of play, and will take place in China.
