ETP (EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT)

The textile processing industries produce wastewater which is one of the main sources of pollution of the rivers, canals and wetlands the country. Effluents from these industries contain suspended solids, large amount of dissolved solids, un-reacted dyestuff and other chemicals that are used in different stages of dyeing, fixing, washing and other processing. The textile wastewater treatment technologies aim at achieving color removal and reduction of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and pH correction. Treatment processes include physical, chemical and biological methods; and they have merits and limitations. To meet the environmental requirements, researchers have been making efforts to use a combination of two or more methods for producing an environmentally acceptable effluent from the treatment facility. Combination of chlorination and chemical coagulation is reported to meet the environmental requirements for textile wastewater treatment.

Reagents
1. Lime 2. FeSO4 3. Polyelectrolyte - 40ml/L -20 ml/L -5ml/L

Treatment process
1. The waste water screened by net process for remove solid waste. 2. Then the waste water goes to the equalization tank which have dissolve oxygen 1-1.2% and circulated the water by air blowing pump for develop dissolve oxygen 2-3%.The water is cooling by shower. 3. After that the water is passing through the pipe with mix of lime, FeSO4, Polyelectrolyte to the primary clarifier in continuous process. 4. On the other hand the cheese which is present in the bottom layer of the chemical chamber these pass to the cheese tank and then pass to filter press for dry waste with the help of air flow. 5. From primary clarifier the clear water is passing through the pipe to the aeration chamber and neutralize with HCl or H2SO4 for controlling pH to the range 7-8 and here also circulated the water by air blowing pump for develop dissolve oxygen 4-5 %. 6. Then the water is passing through the pipe to the secondary clarifier. 7. From secondary clarifier the water is passing through the pipe to the clear water tank and then passes to sand tank and release to the environment.
