Activity 6: Discussion (5 min)

a) Objectives:

- To check Ss’s understanding about reading passage

- To encourage Ss to use the idea and discuss questions related to the topic

- To enhance Ss’s presentation skill.

a) Objectives:

- To help students recall key ideas from the passage by filling in missing details in a mind
map

- To enhance Ss’s writing skill.

b) Content:

- Ts ask Ss’s to complete the mindmap to summarize the content of reading passage

c) Products:

- Ss' mindmap

d) Organisation:

- Give students a mind map with only the main label

- Explain the task: Students will work in pairs/groups to recall and fill in the missing details in
the mind map.

- Show the completed mind map model for students

- Show them the criteria for evaluating the mindmap

- Give feedback for each group. - Ss discuss in group

- Compare answers with other groups and adjust if needed.

- Each group presents their product for the class.
