: 1. Guru meletakkan dua bekas yang sama besar di hadapan murid-murid 2. Satu jug bekas air yang besar diisikan dengan air 3. Guru kemudian menuangkan air yang berada di dalam jug yang besar itu tadi ke dalam bekas yang kosong tersebut. 4. Kemudian guru berkata Apa yang kamu dapat lihat di sini?, Apa yang telah berlaku? 5. Jika jawapan yang betul diberikan seperi Bekas A lebih banyak kuantiti air berbanding bekas B.Air yang dituangkan ke dalam bekas A dan bekas B tidak sama parasnyamaka guru akan memberikan pujian kepada murid dan meminta mereka melakukannya di dalam kumpulan 6. Guru memberikan satu masalah yang perlu diselesaikan iaitu tuangkan air kedalam bekas kosong secara sama paras,lebih banyak dan kurang(tidak sama paras) 7. Guru seterusnya menanyakan soalan berkaitan pengalaman mereka di antara gajah dan kucing siapakah yang memerlukan air yang banyak?apa yang akan berlaku sekiranya manusia tidak minum air dengan secukupnya?

Discussion: Discuss how a calendar can help you remember important dates. As you page through a calendar saying the name of each month, children stand if their birthday is in that month. For each month ask each child who is standing the date of his or her birthday and circle that date on the calendar. ask questions about your findings. Discuss today's date and find it on the calendar. When is your birthday? Does anyone in class have a birthday this month? How many birthdays in January? How many birthdays on Friday in April? How many kids have birthday on same date in May? How many have birthday in same week in June. What is the first month, last month what comes after March and so on. What is your favorite holiday? In what month does it occur?

Objectives To reinforce telling time in five minute intervals. To teach reading time before the hour.

Discussion: Discuss the two different ways of reading time. e.g. 2:40 and 20 minutes to 3 Why is it important to have schedules? What are some of the schedules that children keep?

Activities:

1. Prepare sets of 15 matching game cards. On one card draw a clock and write the time in standard notation. On the matching card write the time as "__ minutes to ___" Score one point for each correct response. The team with the most points wins. Game Cards 2. Display the time on a large clock. Divide the class into teams. Each member must read the time on the clock in two ways: in standard notation and as "__ minutes to __" Score one point for each correct response.
