Well played to the whole team. MOBILE PHONES IN SCHOOL If you come in to school, please be aware that we do not allow mobile phones to be used on school premises. It is particularly distracting if you are in helping your child or taking part in class group work and your mobile rings so please make sure yours is switched off. Thank you. BREAKFAST CLUB CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY 23RD APRIL Breakfast Club will close on Thursday 29th March, and will re-open the week after school opens, so there will be no club for the first week back. Breakfast Club will re-open on Monday 23rd April at 8.00 a.m.
OLYMPIC THEMED EGG DECORATING COMPETITION

We will be holding an Egg-Lympic egg decorating competition and children are invited to bring their decorated eggs to school on Wednesday 28 March. There will be a first and second prize awarded to each year group for each of the winning entries and crme eggs for all those who enter. Please call in to the school hall on Thursday morning (29th March) and look at all the entries. We hope you can make it and we look forward to seeing you there. SPARE SOCKS AND UNDERWEAR We are desperately short of spare socks and underwear for our younger children. If you have any that no longer fits your child, please drop them in at the school office. Additionally, if your child has an accident at school and comes home in our spares, please make sure you wash and return them as soon as possible. Thank you.

UPDATE TO EMERGENCY NUMBERS AND ADDRESSES We are experiencing difficulties at the moment contacting parents when their child is ill, or left behind from an after-school club or activity. Please make sure, if you change your mobile number, or even move house, that you let school know. Thank you.

SMOKING OUTSIDE SCHOOL We have had a number of complaints about people smoking just outside the school gate, as children have to walk through this cloud of smoke when they come out of school. We would ask that you show consideration for our children and not smoke immediately outside the school grounds. We would also like to remind you that it is illegal to smoke within the school perimeter. Thank you for your co-operation.

RELIEF MID-DAY SUPERVISORS If you, or someone you know, would like to support our children at lunchtime on a casual basis, to cover illness and holidays of our regular staff, please call at the school office and put your name on our list. The lunchtime period is from 12.00 noon and 1.15 p.m. and the duties would include supervision of children in the dining hall and outside on the playground. CROSSING LITTLEMOOR LANE AND PARKING We now have a new Crossing Patrol Warden, so please impress on your children that they should use the warden when they try to cross the road. Again we are asking that you park sensitively when you bring and collect your children, bearing in mind not blocking our neighbours drives or double parking and causing problems for children trying to cross the roads. Additionally, please do not park ON the pavement, as buggies and wheelchairs need the space on the footpath, as well as it being dangerous for children if you try to drive on the path. Thank you for your co-operation.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR NEWSLETTER We are encouraging the children to contribute to our weekly newsletter with stories, pictures and items of interest they have done in the classroom our outside school. The contributions this week are from Year 4, Indigo and Blue classes. Look out for more class contributions in the coming weeks

The TRUE story of the three little pigs!

Weve been looking at different fairy tales and then at alternative versions of them. We read The True Story of The Three Little Pigs and then either took on the role of the defence or prosecution lawyer to try to prove Mr Wolfs innocence or guilt. We wrote our own statements Guilty or not Guilty? By the Ladybirds and Butterflies Groups Firstly, we believe that Mr Wolf is guilty because whatever happened, he still ate the two innocent little pigs and we are going to prove this to you. When the tricky wolf noticed hed run out of sugar, he should have gone straight to the shop but instead he decided to creep sneakily to the innocent pigs house. Why do you think he did this? Isnt it obvious? He planned all along to kill the pigs and eat them for his dinner. He even told us he eats animals like bunnies, sheep and pigs. He wasnt even satisfied with eating one pig he went on to try and kill two more. If the pigs house was a long way away, why didnt he just go to the shop? The first pigs house was at least four hills away so how far was the local shop? Additionally the murderous wolf must have hit the door with some force to make it fall in. If he was being friendly he would have knocked on the door gently and waited quietly for an answer. However, once he had forced the door open, he sneezed directly at the house forcing it to fall down and kill the friendly pig. In conclusion he tried and tried to break into the third little pigs house to eat him. We believe this evil creature is guilty of murdering two innocent little pigs and trying to kill the third by

forcing his way into their homes. We can prove this as we have fingerprint evidence from his front door. The court case We then held a court case where everyone took a role and we put Mr Wolf on trial

Kira was the Magistrate and kept order in the court

The jury sat and listened to the evidence

And the lawyers delivered their arguments
