Electric Motor Driven Main Fire Pump Supplying, installing, testing and
commissioning of electric driven fire pump suitable for automatic operation Nos 1
consisting of the following.
Fire pump with cast iron impeller horizontal split casing centrifugal suction type
multistage having a capacity as to ensure a minimum pressure of 3.0 kg per square
cm. at the highest and farthest outlet at the specified flow complete with necessary
strainer on suction side and pressure gauge on the delivery side including by pass
arrangement for periodical testing of the working of the pumping set.
Squirrel cage type TEFC motor suitable for operation on 415V, 2850 LPM, 75 meter
head 3 phases 50 HZ. System of minimum Suitable HP for the above pump with
synchronous speed of 2900 RPM and flexible coupling with the pump motor should
conform to IS 325-1978.

compartmentalized construction cubicle type, front access, 2mm thick steel
enclosed free standing, dust and vermin proof, switchboard with IP42 protection

and painting, suitable for use at 415 volts, 3 phase 4 wire 50 Hertz system, and
suitable for a fault level of (25KA) symmetrical at 415 volts.
All switchboard shall have provision for entry of cables from the top as required.
All live accessible parts shall be shrouded and all equipment shall be finger touch
proof. The Bus bars insulation shall be with heat shrinkable sleeves. SMS/DMS
shrouds and bus bars supports shall be used. Padlocking facility shall be provided
on all outgoing feeders doors and switch handles shall be lockable in OFF position.
All MCCB shall have rotary handles & extension terminal, phase barrier on both
sides as required at site.
