2.1 ABOUT EMAIL
2.1.1NOTES
One of the common services provided by the internet is electronic mail also known as email. This is a
world wide system for sending and receiving electronic messages from one computer to another.
2.2 READING EMAIL MESSAGES
2.2.1 PURPOSE
once an email message that has been sent to you arrives at your computer, to read the contents you
must open it using the program you installed for seding email, eg. Microsoft Outlook
2.2.2.STEP BY STEP
1.lauch the email program Microsoft Outlook from the start menu or a shortcut on the desktop.
2 .Enter the passward if prompted and click OK.
Alternatively, you may need to select your profile from the choose profile dialog box that appears .
2.3 REPLY TO EMAIL MESSAGES
2.3.1 PURPOSE
If you have read a message , you may want sent a reply to the original sender.
2.3.2 STEP BY STEP
When replying a mail messag ,you may want to choose to reply with or without original message
insertion. The original message ,sometimes refers to as the history ,appears in the body of the
message.
2.3 SENDING AN EMAIL MESSAGE
2.4.1 PURPOSE
1 .To communicate with another user who has an email address .This is cheaper than sending fax or
using telephone especially for a long distance calls.

1 .From the outlook window, click the new message button .
