Electronic Mail (E-mail)


is a system of world-wide
electronic communication
in which users can
exchange information
through digital messages or
e-mail messages.

Parts of an
E-mail
Message

MESSAGE HEADER contains control


information including an originators
email address and one or more
recipients.
MESSAGE
BODY
contains
the
message itself. These are the
contents of information that you will
be sending or you have received.

USERNAME
of recipient is the
persons unique name on the server
LOCAL PART OF THE ADDRESS is
the symbol which separates the
unique name from the server name.
DAMAIN NAME
is the name of
computer/server the e-mail system
uses.

Steps in
creating an
e-mail
account

1.Go to a web site that offers a


free e-mail Yahoo, Hotmail or
G-mail.
2.Click the Sign Up hypertext
link.
3.The Sign Up page will appear.
4.Enter
the
necessary
information
in
the
Registration Form.

5. Fill-out all the information


needed.
6. Click Create My Account
box.
7. The Congratulations page
will appear.
8. Click Continue to start
exploring e-mail.

Opening and
reading on
Yahoo Mail:

Sign in to your e-mail account by


typing your username and
password.
1. Click your Inbox to view your
received mail.
2. To read your e-mail, select the
Subject and open the mail.
3. Click Reply to answer the e-mail
and type your response.
4. Click Send to forward your
message.

Sending E-mail via Yahoo Mail:


1. Sign in to your e-mail account by typing
your username and password.
2. Click the Compose Massage button then
Email to create the message that you will
send.
3. Type the e-mail address of the recipient
where you will send your e-mail. Type the
subject or topic and then write your
message.
4. When you are done, just click Send. You
will receive a notification that your
message was sent with an option to add
