True, there is some basis to not believe the RFS (reason for selling) outright. There are foreigners who are into buy and sell and per my experience, if the car is not under the name of the seller, there's a chance that he's a buy and sell agent so its best you also verify the service records with the CASA prior to consummating the deal. My cousin already encountered a Korean who was selling his Civic and on the odometer, it only had around 30,000kms++ then when he brought it to Honda Shaw for servicing, the mileage on their computer was already at 70,000kms+. He returned the car and got his money back; the seller will just look for another buyer (nothing lost on his part). I've hear this from buy and sell guys over the years (since when i was in college, my dad and i would always scour the classifieds for any good deal): - Pabenta ng relative (thats what the car isnt under their name) - Going abroad (but you'll see the same phone number advertise almost every weekend or so)

I usually have a better feel on a second hand car im looking to purchase when it's being sold by the actual owner, and he's selling to buy a new car (someone who changes cars every 3-5 years), and he has several other cars in his garage, all properly kept.

--sent from my Windows

True. I just visited Union Bank's Warehouse in Makati and they don't allow you to test drive the cars there. Also, wala akong kasamang mechanic so what I did is to just check the body. Some cars looked really nice while others showed signs of wear and tear na. Probably I'll be back again with a mechanic to check the cars ulit. FYI: Bank's Warehouses locations: BDO: Baesa, QC Union Bank: Malugay, Makati East west Bank: Festival Mall, Alabang; Edison Avenue,

Paranaque

Repossessed cars are hit or miss. Try to get one that is around 1 year old or less, and has less than 10,000kms. May mga ganyan when you wait around.

Just an update, I already bought the car from the Iranian Guy. Transaction went smoothly naman although they were quite abrasive. So sorry if it took me so long to update. Thank you all for your help and happy driving!

Pabayaan mo lang muna yung scratches; it's all part of growing up.

Hahaha, it hurts lang talaga when I see those. I'm thinking na ipunin na lang muna siya before I make a claim sa insurance since baka masayang lang ang repair tapos gagawin din ulit.
