Helicopter Hand Signals

The document lists and describes standard hand signals used to communicate with helicopters during takeoff, landing, and flight maneuvers. It provides over a dozen signals including: pointing in the direction of departure to signal takeoff; sweeping arms upward or downward to move up or down; bringing arms forward and back to move forward or rearward; and slashing the throat to signal engine shutdown. The signals are designed to be performed beyond the helicopter's rotor path and be clearly visible to the pilot.
