HSE RULES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Construction Manager

The Construction Manager has the following responsibilities, accountabilities, and


activities concerning Health, safety and environmental management.

His Responsibilities are:

➢ Accountable for ongoing development and implementation of project HSE


activities and HSE practices during the project
➢ Specify and make available resources to enable execution of the HSE activities,
➢ Ensure participation and involvement of all employees
➢ Select and delegate HSE assignments to line managers
➢ Arrange and conduct regular sub Contractors’ HSE reviews
➢ Monitor effectiveness of the HSE induction and training processes
➢ Monitor incident/hazard reports

His Activities are:

➢ Involvement and attendance at HSE meetings


➢ Review and discuss incident/hazard reports
➢ Review and raise HSE training requirements
➢ Review work planning and hazard analysis requirements
➢ Consult with HSE team on HSE promotional concepts
➢ Determine balance between HSE and workload and develop appropriate
interventions.
➢ Motivate supervisors and HSE personnel via positive discussion on HSE initiatives.
