New Things on the Horizon

Goodbyes and Hellos
Jenny Jeffrey left COPE in her official capacity last fall. We are very sad to see Jenny go. Shes been the heart and soul of COPE for many years and has helped hundreds of clients over the years. We wish her abundant blessings and she will be greatly missed! We also said goodbye to Sally Farnam. Sally has been a wonderful, dedicated volunteer at COPE for many years. She is 85 years young and finally decided to retire. Relevant Community Church has become COPEs 12th member church and Julie Leithoff is serving as Relevants Board member. Welcome! Devanee Auel took over as Executive Director for Jenny Jeffrey in November. She is thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful organization.

Client Christmas Party 2011

COPE held its annual Christmas party again at Peach Presbyterian. 79 families attended and 321 children received gifts! Parents shopped for their children and children shopped for their parents. Each family also received a gift card from No Frills. There were crafts, goodies, singing, and of course Santa! The children received pictures with Santa. Narrators told the story of Jesus and the first Christmas. Santa concluded the day by telling a story to the children. Over 125 volunteers gathered and labored to make the day beautiful! Thank you to all who contributed toys, teen gift cards, cookies, and the gift of time. Volunteers are the heart of COPE!
