What are the expectations for Festivals and Volunteer Mangement?


Please review the following protocol before proceeding with this session. If any of the expectations are unclear, please feel free to inquire/discuss/negotiate. 1. Plagiarism : According to college policy, all plagiarized assignments & projects are automatically assigned a MINIMUM penalty is a zero for the given work. Printed work : All pieces of submitted work must be accompanied by a printed professional Cover Page. The contents of the entire work must be computer generated. Punctuality / late assignments: Please be punctual with your classes. If you know that you are running late, ONLY interrupt during the class breaks. Class breaks are given after every 45 minutes of class activities. Assignments are to be printed and handed in at the beginning of class. Emails / late submissions are not accepted.

Exam policy : Please be early for exams. Exams missing and exam or being late is not acceptable if you are sick, contact me within 48hrs by email to advise. You will also need to provide a doctors note. No cell phones, MP3/iPods etc.. allowed. Eating/drinking : You are allowed food/drinks in class, provided they do not fall into these categories: chips (because they are really noisy), apples (because they crunch really loudly) and delivery pizzas (provided its break time and youve got veg!). Please do not hesitate to bribe your Professor with an occasional caf latte as well. Keeping the room tidy : The school has gone to great lengths to renovate the school. Please see the 4 Ps of First Impressions please help keep your class room and campus neat and tidy! If you move a table, move it back. Push your chairs in. Take your garbage / recycling with you! Cell phones : Unless your profession/circumstance falls into the following categories, all cell phones are to be switched off or silenced during class times: (1) surgeons; (2) ER doctors; (3) expectant mothers; (4) a member of the bomb squad. Cell phone emergencies : If you are expecting a phone call, and have no choice but to receive it, please excuse yourself from the room and take the call outside. Non-participatory activities : This refers to socializing activities with your fellow classmates that have nothing to do with the class. If you feel the need to socialize about other topics than the one at hand, please bring it outside the room OR feel free to discuss it in front of the room with the rest of the class. If there is a presentation : ALL team mates must be dressed in participate in the presentation itself and dress appropriately. As with # 3 please DONT arrive late for ANYONES presentation interrupting and disturbing another group which is presenting is just plain wrong! Respect : This means respecting your fellow classmates, teammates, guest speakers (if any) and Professor at all times. Web-CT : You are responsible to check Web-CT at least once a week for articles, course notes and information pertaining to the class.

Tips for Student Success: 1) Be on time, Participate, Work as a TEAM 2) Course work: 1. Read in advance 2. Make notes in class, if you miss a class check with class mates for what you missed 3. Complete exercises, activities and assignments regardless of their course weight! (Remember, its the Journey and the Experience that counts!) 4. Study for your tests ask instructor for tips, come to the review class!
