    Thailand is the world's 51st-largest country in terms of total area with population of 64 million. It has one of the highest economic growth rates after 1985, and is presently a newly industrialized country and a major exporter. The country has also attracted a number of expatriates from developed countries. Thailand as a country has one of the highest growth rate in terms of graduates specializing in engineering and business related functions. This can be attributed to the Human Resource Development in the country. Human Resources Development in Thailand is responsible by two main Ministries; Ministry of Education is responsible for the basic and higher education. Ministry of Labour by the Department of Skill Development (DSD) is responsible for the development of workforce in the labour market since the age of 15 years old to acquire skills, knowledge to have high competence for employability. Chemical industry is not very developed in Thailand yet. Although the demand for Polysterene, BioDiesel, Oleochem is high due to extensive industrialization, only few companies like Zion Chemicals supply it to entire Thailand. There are 188 registered chemical companies in Thailand related to hair treatment, paints, adhesives, printing inks etc but very few in products manufactured by Chemrez Technologies, Inc. There are many phases to a detailed HR strategy. We have divided the project in the following phases for ease of understanding. Wages and Salaries Performance Evaluation. Labour Market Labour laws Learning and Development, training and career growth

    Before discussing about each of the aspects, let us look through certain assumptions and caveats for this project report 1. Due to unavailability of the scale of operation, detailed organization structure cant be finalised 2. Chemrez Technologies is only interested in opening a sales office in Thailand. All production facility will be in Philippines.
