CONTRACTOR PROCEDURES
The specification defines WHAT will be used and WHAT will have to be accomplished. The procedure
outlines in detail HOW the activities defined in the specification will be performed. The specification is the
governing document, and it takes precedence over the procedure (*1)
Procedures are detailed documents for the coating or lining work that describe HOW the
Contractor or Applicator intends to perform a given activity to satisfy the requirements of
the Owner Coating specification.
Responsibilities
These procedures are prepared by the Contractor or Applicator and submitted to the
Company or Owner representative for reviewed and approved prior to the start up of the
job for acceptance.
Written Procedures
The format or writing style procedures shall be made based on the actual condition to be
performed by the Contractor or Applicator during the coating process.
