School Ignites Leadership Potential in 2025 Training
Rizal Elementary School took a giant leap forward in nurturing future leaders as it launched the highly
anticipated 2025 School-Based Leadership Training on Friday, January 10, 2025. Held at the Learning
Resource Center (LRC), the event resonated with the theme: “Sustainable Leadership: Think, Care, and
Act.”
Spearheaded by SELG Adviser Ma’am Cherry Lyn V. Balbacal and the Student Elementary Government
(SELG) officers, the event showcased the school’s commitment to cultivating leadership that stands the
test of time. Sweet Princess A. Allones and Kate Viva led the program as dynamic hosts, setting the tone
for an engaging and purposeful day. Adding to the ceremony’s significance, SELG President Miel Aimery
O. De Vera delivered a heartfelt welcome address, energizing participants and emphasizing the
importance of the training.
A Vision Rooted in Purpose
The leadership training aimed to equip student leaders with the tools and strategies needed to effect
meaningful change within and beyond the school community. With a core emphasis on nurturing a love
for God and country, moral character, personal discipline, and leadership efficiency, the program
promised to transform young leaders into champions of sustainability and proactive problem-solvers.
Aligned with the school’s core values—**Makadiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa**—the
training focused on shaping global citizens ready to take on the challenges of an ever-evolving world.
Rizal Elementary School’s LIDERS (Learners in Development for Effective and Resilient Solutions)
initiative set the stage for fostering a culture of inclusivity, peace, and responsibility among student
leaders.
Empowering Young Leaders
The event gathered an impressive roster of participants, including classroom and club presidents, SELG
officers, and other budding leaders. Through various activities and workshops, these young individuals
were empowered to refine their skills, enhance their values, and commit to excellence in academics,
leadership, and social responsibility.
The school’s ultimate goal? To empower these students to step up as proactive contributors to their
school’s safety and success, while also preparing them to address global challenges with confidence and
resilience.
Building a Legacy of Leadership
The training concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the participants. As they return to their
classrooms, clubs, and communities, they carry with them valuable lessons on building skills, refining
values, and becoming proactive global citizens. With these empowered young leaders at the helm, Rizal
Elementary School is poised to continue its legacy of excellence, unity, and sustainability.
The 2025 School-Based Leadership Training serves as a testament to the school’s unwavering
commitment to shaping leaders who not only dream of change but act upon it, creating a brighter, more
sustainable future for all.
