Customized Kid-Tineraries
At Our Life Memories we understand the value of ones time. Local families attempt to balance work and household commitments with quality time with their children. Parents without primary custody seek to maximize the time they have with their children while creating special moments. Our Life Memories gives caregivers back their time by doing the intensive work of scouring the areas resources for activities that meet each childs personality and interests.The nal product is a customized Kid-Tinerary, a personal guide for their weekend or vacation, with everything one needs to know about the selected activities, down to the details of the restrooms!

Kid-Tinerary Process: Easy as 1-2-3


1. Survey Caregivers complete a Condential Itinerary Planning Survey with preferred itinerary dates and a description of each childs personality and interests. 2. Suggestions Upon receipt of the completed Survey, a 30-45 minute phone call is scheduled to discuss initial Itinerary Suggestions using online meeting and document sharing software.

3. Final Kid-Tinerary Within 48 hours of the initial meeting, families receive their customized Kid-Tinerary with details on selected activities.

The event will include tness demonstrations, cooking demos, and other fun activities related to nutrition and physical activity. An exhibit entitled Drink This! Not That! will teach children about pH levels in popular beverages, and demonstrates the effect these have on their teeth and oral health. Participating children will receive a 'passport' that they will need to get stamped by every booth in order to enter a drawing to win a Wii Fit.

Day Out With Thomas is a family event that offers aspiring engineers and their families the unique opportunity to take a ride with the classic storybook engine, Thomas the Tank Engine at regional heritage railroads across the country.

Tickets should be purchased in advance to guarantee your preferred train departure time Arrive at least one hour prior to scheduled departure. Parking: Free off-street, on-site parking for visitors. Food: Outdoor Concession stand with seating area Restrooms: One set of restrooms upon entering the Roundhouse. I recommend making this a rst stop before heading outside for the main events. About the Event


Exhibit Highlights: AmtraKids Depot: Engage with delightful magicians, creating fun arts and crafts and playing interactive games. Plus, there will be surprise giveaways throughout the day. Model Train Displays: Delight in the craft of model train displays and take a closer look at these miniature masterpieces. K-9 Unit Demonstrations: Witness Amtrak Security K-9 Units, one of the largest programs in the country, perform demonstrations with the dogs and their handlers. Train Equipment Displays: Get up close and personal with Amtrak equipment to experience rst-hand the modern amenities and accommodations offered by passenger rail. Live Entertainment: Enjoy live entertainment from Radio Disney and The Diggity Dudes.

The mission of the Museum is to collect and preserve artifacts of electrical street railways and to interpret their impact upon the development of communities in the Washington DC region.

About the Activity


The Main Hall provides a working model of street cars, automobiles, and pedestrians in Chevy Chase during the 1930's. The Street Car Ride is the museum highlight. It is an interpretation of the ride into the woods of Maryland and Virginia as it would have looked more than 100 years ago. Street Car Hall is a favorite of many visitors. There are several trolleys and examples of street cars from all different eras, localities, and designs. Conduit Hall showcases some of the hardware associated with streetcars There is a new exhibit of funny silent movies featuring Harold Lloyd.

Street Car Ride: Departs from the Main Hall. Fees are collected by a cashier upon entering the Visitors Center. Driving: Construction has made it difcult to nd the museum driveway.
