CHILDREN: Our loving parents, we have come here with you,
to celebrate the Eucharist together. Our hearts are filled with
joy and thanksgiving because this is the first time we shall
receive the bread of life.
PARENTS: Dear children, this day is also a special day for us
Entrance Procession: your parents. We are happy to share your joy as we witness
your First Holy Communion. We are reminded of our
responsibility and mission to bring you up as good and
concern Christians. Today is a day of celebrating God’s love for
us.
CELEBRANT: Dear parents, in the name of the church, I thank
you for coming this celebration. I congratulate you for joining
your children on this very important occasion. On this day,
they will take part in the entire Eucharistic celebration,
receiving Jesus for the first time in Holy Communion.
Dear Children, today, when you receive Jesus in the
Holy Communion, you will be sharing of God’s own life in a
special way. Let us thank God for your parents, teachers,
classmates and friends through whom you have learned to
understand the Eucharist. With all your hearts, thank God for
