First Communicant: (Bella)

“The Lord fed his people with the finest wheat

and honey; their hunger was satisfied.”
Good Afternoon!
We are gathered here today with immeasurable
happiness as we thank the Lord our God for
giving us this day to celebrate completely the
Holy Eucharist for the first time on the
solemnity of our Mother, the Immaculate
Conception. As we offer this celebration, we ask
you all our dear parents, teachers, and friends
to pray for us that we may be able to live
faithfully with Jesus Christ.

Our Mass Presider is Rev. Fr. Khicks Parza.

Let us all stand as we joyfully sing the entrance

hymn.

First Reading
Steph: A reading from the Book of Genesis...
But the Lord God called to the man, and
said to him, “where are you?”. He said, “I
heard the sound of you in the garden, and I
was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid
myself.” He said, “who told you that you
were naked? Have you eaten from the tree
of which I commanded you not to eat?.”
The man said, “the woman whom you gave
to be with me, she gave me fruit from the
tree, and I ate.”
Then the Lord God said to the woman,
“What is this that you have done?” The
woman said, “The serpent tricked me, and I
ate.” The Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this, cursed are
you among all animals and among all wild
creatures; upon your belly you shall go, and
dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I
will put enmity between you and the
woman, and between your offspring and
hers; he will strike your head, and you will
strike his heel.”
The man named his wife Eve, because
she was the mother of all living.

Second Reading
Psalmie: Brothers and sisters, let us listen to the second reading.
Kholene: A Reading from the letter to the
Ephesians…
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he
chose us in Christ before the foundation of the
world to be holy and blameless before him, in love.
He destined us for adoption as his children
through Jesus Christ, according to the good
pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious
grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the
riches of his grace that he lavished on us.
With all wisdom and insight he has made known
to us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure that he set forth in Christ, as a plan for the
fullness of time, to gather up all things in him,
things in heaven and things on earth.
In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance,
having been destined according to the purpose of
him who accomplishes all things according to his
counsel and will, so that we, who were the first to
set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of
his glory.
Word of the Lord
PARENTS’ VOWS
Priest: The profession of faith will not only be done by the children, but
their parents as well. As one community, we all take our vows to
continuously guide these children as they grow in faith and love for
our Lord.

Father: God our Father, we gratefully thank

you for giving us children. Again,
we offer them to you. Bless them
and guide them in your love through
Christ our Lord
Mother: Lord God our Father, You entrusted
our children to us so we can teach
them and guide them in their lives.
Make us the light that guides them to
you as we set examples of your
teachings. This we ask through
Christ our Lord
Father and Mother:
Lord, it is an honor that you have
entrusted us as Christian parents.
We promise that with your grace we
can give good examples to our
children. We will help them in
fulfilling their duties as children of
God and guide them in the path of
goodness.
(The celebrant will sprinkle the holy water to the first communicants.)
